Goodbyes are always so hard.

Have you had any luck finding a new pdoc?

I wish you strength.

Not even a clue how to start finding a new one. They give out so little information about themselves that you have to pick blindly. It's like shopping for canned goods with no labels on the cans.

Last Session w/Beloved Pdoc Tomorrow So late in the year, I haven't got the visits left to shop around. So it's going to be a fight. I don't know if my pdoc knows anyone who would be good. I'll find out tomorrow. I'll let you all know in the evening. Last Session w/Beloved Pdoc Tomorrow

The corporate office must think I'm a loon. I've faxed and called them about the replacements and ended up irrationally emotional on the phone. I probably shouldn't have done that, but I really wasn't in control and was acting impulsively.

determine what it is you want... qualifications, type of therapy, etc. so you can call and ask those specific questions when searching.

also call your insurance company and ask for additional visits due to having to find someone new.

((hugs))

Good luck.

Too much to tell right now and it's late, but Pdoc says he's not leaving - he's just leaving the group he's working for. So I may still be able to see him. He doesn't know anyone to recommend off hand. T said she might. So maybe there's a backup plan. All in all, I feel better, but it wasn't really a good appointment - at least it didn't feel all good, ya know. I think he was a little frustrated and angry - partly with himself and maybe partly with me. Apparently my hysterical, emotional, irrational calls with the corporate office where he now works got some attention and he heard about, but not in a bad way. He said I was making his boss work in that they are pushing to get more appointments out of the health care provider for me. He definitely wants to see me again - maybe that appointment will feel normal. This one didn't.

That sounds like pretty good news, even if the appointment didn't go so well.

Hope something works out for ya! Last Session w/Beloved Pdoc Tomorrow

That's very positive news, WinterRose. And it is also great they are trying to get more visits from your insurance. I'm so glad you had this good outcome.
