There is no blame in anything I am saying here. It's about responsibility, not blame. If you decide to try therapy when you are not ready for it, you are responsible for that.

I did not point to anyone in my post nor aim it anyone in particular. And whether someone is "ready for therapy" is something no one else can decide and because those people are so opaque in their explanations about therapy and how it works - I don't see how one can be "ready for therapy" in a knowing way. Further, one can be completely ready and therapy and the therapist still fail. I believe it happens often.

Everyone here has problems and issues. My mother has issues. Like I said, I love my mum, but she is responsible for the way she has dealt with her problems. That isn't client-blaming. That's a fact. Not everyone is going to benefit from therapy.

Also, I would like to once again point out that not benefitting from therapy and being harmed by it are two different things. My mother was not harmed by therapy, she simply couldn't make use of it at the time.
