I have guys wearing flip flops and shorts in the dead of winter with snow on the ground because of laundry. A blanket would be more appropriate for the weather.

I believe dude-in-question was all dressed up for Friday night - gangsta style. He had the ridiculous not-a-ballcap, oversized basketball shorts, mid-calf socks and Jordan's to go with it. He looked to be roughly my age, that is, waaaay too old to dress like a delinquent teen...

I may be feeling a little judge-y tonight...

I was a little puzzled myself, because every other class he was wearing the same outfit (a firefighter suit). I guess eventually even that had to be washed.

I used to work with a guy who did that. We would sit outside in coats on our break (it was in NorCal) he'd be there in his shorts and t-shirt. He just didn't feel the cold...

I am fascinated by undergraduate style, caused by laundry or not. I think my favorite is girls wearing cut off jean shorts with Ugg boots, both winter and summer.

"Although an insurance plan typically extends to other drivers who use your car infrequently, rules are different for people who use your car regularly. When someone uses your car on regular basis, you usually have to name that person as a driver on your insurance policy to make sure that they are covered. Anyone who lives in your home may be considered a regular driver that needs to be listed on your plan."

I got that from googling "car insurance follows the driver"

Tomorrow feels like such a heavy time for me to be looking at doing. Going to see my mom for Mother's Day and my brother is going tone there. Can I just say they are the epitome of what the word negative means in the dictionary? I already feel the agitation that their negative attitude is going to try to leach on me. Yuck!!!!!

I want to go and honor my mom. I bought her a knock out rose bush to plant in her front yard. Pretty. Smells wonderful. Something bright and beautiful for her. I so don't want to be overwhelmed with her negativeness.

My brother is much like her. Negative comments about his job, his wife and kids. We don't really have a relationship because I can't bear to be around him and listen to him.

It's already stressing me!!

Sorry to whine. Just wanted to say it. Please, if you don't mind, send some positive prayers/thoughts my way. It really doesn't look or feel pleasant tomorrow.

No, I had tried to get a simple cup of coffee and they had a singer at the shop. And it brought back memories of every time I tried to listen to a pop sort of singer whether famous or not - I just want them to shut up and sing.

I hope you sleep well and sound. I hope that as you sleep it resolves itself and tomorrow is a better day for you!

We're home from the banquet. It was very nice. I was impressed. Our superintendent remembers me by name (this is a district with 53,000 students and over 5,000 teachers and administrators). He and I started together in the same school 30 years ago. He was a science teacher at the time, and about two years in he got his first assistant principal position. At one point he was my son's basketball coach (at about age 7), but otherwise we haven't had much contact. He was the principal at my son's high school but I don't remember interacting with him. But tonight he walked by our table, stopped and gave me a hug and recalled all of that. When I received my award, he gave me a hug and said we need to hang out more. He's an awesome educator and superintendent, and he is spearheading a movement against standardized testing in Texas right now. Brave man!

My English department chair was named Teacher of the Year for our district. Very much deserved. She's a dedicated, sincere, caring soul. Very proud of her.

I saw many people I hadn't run into in a while. We're all getting old. LOL.

Thank you!! I have an older son who is really ADHD and he has discovered it. It has helped him to focus and do his school and job, which is very technical and detailed. He, I don't believe it prone to addiction. He is more a driven person.

My younger son is who he wanted me to look into it for. He IS addiction prone and that scares me. We have been through several medications with him. Trying to balance the meds for the GAD and ADHD is pretty tricky. My older son thought this "natural" alternative might be the answer. I've looked into it more since my post.

To be honest, he was finding M on his own somehow and using it before we started the serious meds and told me that he felt better with that than anything else he has tried. It's illegal here and the addiction is a major concern. The meds have SO many side effects and who knows what other effects down the road.

I used to be so closed minded to so many things before we got in this track of trying to find an answer. Now.. I really don't know. My mind is strained trying to figure out the right and wrong. Sometimes I just don't know what is good and what is not.

Sorry. That just kind of downloaded itself. It's the truth though.

Anybody else... ?

She responded on a Friday.
Feel a little calmer but will feel better when spouse finishes processing what I told him and we can move forward.
I hope.

We had a wonderful time at the dinner for my son's manufacturing program. I was able to put aside my worries about the car insurance stuff and enjoy it. Score one for Artie!! My son won the "Leadership" Award, his teacher said my son is the 2nd in command and practically runs the machine shop at school, he teaches other students and keeps watch over the expensive equipment they use, etc. I am SO incredibly proud of him!! He has earned 3 professional certifications in machining so far.

Now to go check out all the answers and links about the car insurance thing... thanks y'all!
