Mine often encourages me to email. I go back and forth between understanding that I am able to share better in writing, and trying very hard not to be "annoying and clingy". I dont think my t sees me that way at all, but I hate to see myself doing something that I think is annoying. I always think I am not at the right level of "need" to email. Apparently I need to be half-dead with desperation before my mind will say it ok. Even when T has said it is a good idea for me to email. I just force myself to do it anyway, as the benefit outweighs the annoying feelings.
Thanks for this!

This is exactly how I feel !! My T has even said if it helps, then do it. It does help because then we both speak about it in session which is beneficial. I still havent sent the email but I might tonight. Hopefully it goes well.

Update:

I just sent the email. I sort of feel numb, like really scared but well see what happens.

Hopefully it turns out fine.

Good for you. I have my fingers crossed for you and I hope you feel OK while you wait for your T to respond.

I don't know if there is a "once and for all" in therapy. It's a tangled path.
