In the last couple of months I have joined PC and I just want to tell everyone how much I appreciate their sharing their personal stories. Reading everyone's post's has certainly helped me to feel "normal" in my own therapy experiences. Though I wish no one distress, when I read of other's struggles in therapy it makes me feel like I am not alone in my own struggles and that helps to comfort me a great deal. I just want to thank you all for your ear and support. I plan to be around on PC for a long time to come and hope to be a comfort to others as they have been to me.

Hi LittleMouse, I have not been in the therapy forum lately. I have mainly been in the substance abuse forum and the general forum. I agree, reading others stories has really helped me feel a little more normal. It helps me to know that I am not the only one struggling with these type of issues. Thanks to everybody here!

I agree wholeheartedly. This site has helped me immensely eventhough my parents dont always agree that it's helped me and they thought that I was letting myself get bogged down in my diagnoses and psych crap.

PC Makes Me Feel Normal

Me too. I sought out Internet resources after a few months of psychotherapy with my current T because I was experiencing such strong, almost obsessive (IMO at the time) attachment. I felt this was highly abnormal and unhealthy! I thought there was something wrong with me. People here in the psychotherapy forum helped me normalize that experience. And I read the "In Session" book someone here recommended and that helped me normalize it even more. I think without the advice here and sharing of stories, I would have felt highly aberrant and not good about myself or my therapy. Thank you all.

I want to add that I find the people here in the psychotherapy forum very interesting, more interesting than a cross section of the general public. People here really think about things and share. Not as superficial as you might meet out on the street. (Maybe that is because through therapy we are thinking deeply about our lives.) Thank you for making this an interesting and supportive place to share.

LittleMouse, I am glad you are here too.
