What if i am over-reacting? maybe she is just being friendly? but i have made it clear i don't want to interact with her.
To make it worse my paranoid mind thinks maybe she is spying. This getting out of hand.

When someone I meet insists on telling me how wonderful their life is, I assume automatically that it isn't.

Too cynical? Or is that what I get for trying to pick someone up at a bar?
Thanks for this!

Sounds like reading posts on Facebook to me. All the beach, cruise and vacation pictures. Please!!! Whose life could be that?

Well, Atisketatasket, no single persons life is wonderful.
Just wanted to tell the Couch goodnight, and hugs to all who need them.

If someone I met at a bar started telling me how wonderful their life is that'd be my cue to run like hell.

In a bar i don't care what they say, as long as they agree to take my clothes off... on the other hand, in a club...

Plenty of single people have wonderful lives.
Seriously.

Hey couch. Tried a new tack with h tonight and invited him to go with me to son's band concert at school. Even though the Giants were on tv, he said yes and we went! How different from last night when I asked "do you want to go" instead of "will you go with me". Semantics. Go figure.

I think Darkness might have meant that no one person's life is wonderful all the time. At least that's how I interpreted it.

When things settle diwn, I am looking forward to being single. And avoiding any entanglements with other future ex-husband candidates.

Your post ART sounds so inviting to me! In my heart I feel guilty for saying that. It just sounds so freeing from where I am. It most probably wouldn't be what I'm thinking it would be. Don't know.

I'd like to offer you a hug if you would like one.

Ah, Insomnia, my old friend, welcome back!

Yes, me too. I am averaging about 3 hours of sleep. I can't even nap.

At least I can nap. Although the last one I took was just me dozing off in a hot bath this afternoon, only to waken to cold water and the sound of junior cat frantically scrabbling at the edge of the tub as he attempted not to fall in from the perch where he watches me.

I rescued him, but his amour propre was seriously wounded and now he's not speaking to me.

You were supposed to save him but not notice.

My young dog is getting frustrated with me. Every time I get up - he runs to the bedroom and gets in his crate and then comes back out and stares at me when I don't get into bed.
The older two dogs are already asleep in my bedroom (one on my bed) and give me no notice whatsoever.

Clearly your pup is not yet used to your mysterious ways. While the older dogs have seen it all.

Could be read either way. I bet this is deliberately nefarious wordplay on the part of DF.

I am enjoying a danish historical mystery writer (admittedly of the light sort) Martin Jensen

I like Scandinavian noir. Not The Girl Who... stuff, but the lesser-known authors. Yrsa Sigurdsdottir, Henning Mankell, Jussi Adler-Olson.

He is still a bit clingy. I am hoping he outgrows it soon.
