I slept so long my pup thought I was sick and tucked toys and chewies in all around me trying to help me feel better. She is such a cute, funny dog.
Thanks for this!

Perhaps she thought you were beyond help and was sending you off to the netherworld with important belongings. Is she Egyptian by chance?
Or perhaps I am the only one who thinks the dogs are simply thinking about sending me ahead with stuff they will need when they get there.

"Tempers fuggit", as Nanny Ogg said. (Terry Pratchett - can't remember which book, but probably Witches Abroad.)

I'm not quite sure what my T would do if I brought in a crossword puzzle during session.

I did the puzzle, not her. She seemed slightly flummoxed by my behavior, but just went with it.

I tried Terry Pratchett twice - A monstrous regiment and Going postal, but couldn't get into them.

I do enjoy watching them wiggle about when they become flummoxed. It is like when a cat tries to jump on something, misses and then bathes themselves in an effort to appear like it is what they meant to do all along. "I was going to jump onto that ledge, but a need to bathe took precedence mid-leap. I meant to miss"

I'm considering investing in a portable washer. Hauling clothes across the complex all the time is a nightmare, especially with the amount of laundry my son goes through... He's like a newborn when it comes to washing, except his clothes and sheets are definitely not newborn-sized...
I wanted to move out of this complex at the end of the summer, but they wouldn't let me sign for less than a year. Mostly because they effed up and did my paperwork four months late...
Oh, and did I mention that the washers in the laundry room don't work that well. Most everyone has to be either prewashed or doused in Shout. A nightmare I tell ya...
And they get lint all over everything...
