I did not mean how they do therapy - I meant that the woman could not explain why she would wave at a client in public while undressed. It was quite irritating - first the session is delayed a day by a gas leak in her building, then she just could not get what my issue was. (She did offer to talk about it as much as I wanted. To which I could only say, "Oh boy!")

She doesn't get why not to acknowledge a client in public? To me, the dressed or undressed part is secondary to the basic - don't acknowledge clients until they do you.
My guess would be she just was not thinking that day and now does not know what to do about it.

Madame T actually asked me whether I wanted her to acknowledge me or not if we should meet by accident.

Mine had it in her 'contract' that she won't acknowledge clients in public.

I assume my t would follow my lead if we saw each other in public. That's if I even recognize her out of context. I didn't recognize my work cubicle-mate in Lowe's awhile back, and I sat next to him for 40 hours a week!! He still teases me about that. I said well, I'm sorry, you were out of context! lol I'm pretty sure I would recognize t, but you never know....

Oh my gosh!! This happens to me all the time. If I'm out and run into somebody, not in the normal place I usually see them, I don't recognize them or I have an argument in my mind if that's really them or not.

I have ran into my counselor before and my zip line took me away. It was very disturbing.

I got laundry pretty much done today, and have to go to one more grocery store tomorrow, but the rest of tomorrow I am going to binge-watch ghost whisperer with a glass or two of wine and a box of cheez-its! I love that show.

I need to figure out how to make an hour at work go by as fast as an hour with t. I swear I was there about two minutes when I glanced at the clock and it was 5 til 12. Oops.

Just got home from the last chorus performance for the season, so I'm off until late August. Said goodbye to our accompanist who has been with us for 39 years, our assistant conductor who is heading for a new position in another state, and several members who are moving on for a variety of reasons. It was a beautiful performance. I'm very blessed to be able to perform with such an amazing organization.

I'm off Monday, then only three more days of school. I'll spend my summer relaxing and shuttling my youngest to voice lessons, state choir camps, and college visits. Next year he is a senior and we will be busy with auditions and interviews for various music programs across the state as he plans at this point to go into music education. Today is his 17th birthday. Where does time go?

My days and nights are screwed up again. They got slightly unscrewed for two days (court in am and ex/bff md appt helped) but now backwards again.
I would be great in night court. I volunteer to teach night classes.

So much for sleeping in. Awoke in a nightmare a couple hours ago and can't shake it. Maybe I'll be able to sleep in tomorrow. I'm tired.

I had to choose between latin and Fiddler on the Roof.
Although for LG - I probably should have gone music.

I had to look that up. Yes, it does. Often because it's filled up with "have-to's" that in the grand scheme of things are so meaningless. I guess that's why the good stuff (like my time with t) flies by so quickly in comparison because of allllll the time that I have to spend doing things I don't want to do, but have to do. Like work and stuff. Which is one of the things we talked about in my session yesterday - needing to align my job with my passion. If I could figure out how to do that, maybe time would be the same everywhere. As it is, time is pretty meaningless to me, because it never feels the same. I want an hour to feel the same no matter what I am doing, then maybe I would have some idea of how long something is going to take and might be able to plan better. Or something. I am babbling this morning.

Ah but I just had a realization about something else - how I'm always ruminating about ending therapy with current t - you know why that is? I think maybe, just maybe, it's because I'm afraid that if I 'settle in' and get comfortable with having t as long as I want her that 1) I'll start taking her for granted which I don't want to do and 2) it will somehow make her realize she needs to get rid of me. Probably irrational and partly magical thinking on my part but well, yeah.

My approaching birthday in a little more than a month has me thinking a lot about life and how it's time for me to just start freaking LIVING it instead of worrying so much about absolutely every.little.thing.

Guess I better get off the computer and go make breakfast for the fam and then head to the grocery store. I'll probably be back later. Happy Sunday, couch!

I'm not sure how anyone has figured out to make an hour feel the same length of time when you compare an hour spent doing something enjoyable vs. something you don't enjoy.

For me, therapy hours are interminable. Except for the time I brought in a crossword puzzle and worked on that during session.
