I misjudged the distance to the pool wall and my speed while starting a flip turn and slammed my left ring finger and forearm into the wall quite hard. Pretty sure that's blood under the nail.

And they say swimming is good for the body.

"Too high for the meter to read" is very high indeed. If I ever got as high as that, they'd send me to hospital right away.

Luckily, diabetes is very treatable. I take pills and do injections and live a normal life.

I hate not having the texting thing. Now I want to drive past his rooms but its Friday so he's not there probably which results in my ususally driving round the town in a flap looking for him.

Here are two links that might interest you.

http://coconutoil.com/diabetes/

http://www.diabetesaction.org/site/P...lementary_7_10

The first link is about coconut oil, which I believe is the cure for all that ails you.

The second link is about cinnamon essential
oil for diabetes.

I'm one of those essential oil people who believe "There is an oil for that!" Essential oils are amazing. I didn't know if you were open to it or not.

Just wanted to send these to you! The Couch 115: Corduroy Pillows Are Making Headlines!

Are you kidding, as much as I whine here about my h, I say whine away! Sometimes it is good for the soul!!

Interesting side note: I have noticed that every single time I type the word "soul" I always put a d after it, realize it, and then delete it. So I type "sould". I have no idea why and I think I shall ponder on this. I have done pretty much zero "therapy workings" since my last session, the last time I wrote in my notebook was the day before that session, so I suppose it's about time.

And the first thing that pops into my head is that I do it because I fear I have "sold my soul" as in gave up my Self when I got married and continue to give it up by staying married. I don't know. Just first thoughts. Hopefully I am wrong...

(((Granite))) take care of yourself, that sugar stuff is crazy. My h is diabetic and he makes the mistake of eating too much carbs with no protein and then his sugars spike, then go way way too low and he feels like he's gonna pass out. He doesn't do that often, he's careful most of the time, but when he does he's absolutely miserable. I hope they get yours under control so you can start feeling better!
Thanks for this!

Granite - please check out the information about coconut oil. I know it may sound "out there" but I can't eat very much sugar without suffering from it and it has helped me!

I truly hope you feel better!!

My friend who was diagnosed with diabetes a year ago has some sort of meter that she wears that sounds an alert when her blood sugar gets too high or low, even in the middle of the night. It's saved her from a hospital trip a few times. Could something like that be a possibility for you?
Thanks for this!

Had an awful argument with DD today. I told her I'm done talking about this now. Time for you to go home. But she wouldn't stop talking about the issue and would not go home. I was so worked up. I've just had a stroke, for g-d's sake!

She wants to micromanage everything about my watching my grandson this summer. I'm over it already! He is autistic, but DD is who I have most of the problems.

I told her she has a choice to keep him home or send him here, but I will not tolerate her put-downs and controlling behavior in my house.

Situation is such a mess!

On a good note today I sorted out my D mobile problems. I don't know what made me leave Virgin mobile never had a problem but the deal was cheaper with the bundle from the other company. Back with Virgin, numbers ported no problem.
Thanks for this!

Tonight I can't sleep because my forearm is bruised and swollen from colliding with the pool wall and it's impossible to get into a comfortable position. And tonight I actually feel like I could sleep, boo.

Does the local library subscribe to one of the ebook libraries - Overdrive or 3M? They often have free classics, and there should be an app for your phone. I am using them a lot to get books here in furrin parts...although Overdrive thinks I can read Chinese

Project Gutenberg is where I go for all books in the public domain (see link I posted earlier today).
I hated the library app - it might have gotten better since the last time I tried it - but overdrive was awful when I tried it.

I find it uncomfortable to read books off an electronic device. I miss the tactile experience of a book, paper cuts and all.

It's a lot easier to hold. I never thought I would like it but I do. And I love that it's instantaneous.
