I think there are two black tuxedos and one yellow tabby.
How did it go? Has the momma cat warmed up to you yet?

I took a deep breath, and sent it anyway.... but I'm still doubting myself whether I can do the job or not. I haven't told t about it yet cuz this just came up late last week and I haven't seen her since before it came up. Oh well. I'll tell her about it when Saturday gets here, maybe they'll know who they're picking by then even.
Good luck!

I just read an internet story about parents who wanted to name their daughter Kaitlyn - but they wanted an unusual spelling. So they spelled it Kviiilyn.

I don't know whether to applaud the Roman numerals or shake my head in a world-weary way.

Eta: this is a good example of a pun that crosses languages.
Thanks for this!

I really wish parents wouldn't do that. This poor kid and the parents are going to spendmost of their time explaining how to spell and pronounce her name. Until she is at least the age where she can legally change it her self.

Hi. It's 1:00 and I have desire to go to bed. I have to work tomorrow and I need to be in the bed asleep right now. I don't want to go to bed. I hate nighttime!!

There are tears tonight that don't usually happen. My time with my counselor was tonight and there was a lot that came out. It's all
spinning in my mind and there is no comfort there. I've journaled about it but it seems to only give it more life. This has a good outcome I do believe. It's just these times that make me want to scream or go out back and kick a tree!!!

Don't mean to be a downer. Just please somebody hear me.

I read your earlier post and I hear you.

Your words about counseling bringing up a lot reminded me of a person I know with DID whose also a faithful Christian.

I'd like to share this song with you, one of the few Christian songs I enjoy and don't find triggering -

I hope it and other songs by the band can bring you some comfort.

Forgive me if I'm speaking out of place...I find American culture and religious culture sometimes pressures one to be upbeat and positive all the time, which can result in shunning the pain and sadness of others.

I hope you can be kind and gentle with yourself as you hurt.
Thanks for this!

One nice thing about the international crowd here is that it is always daytime for somebody - so while you sleep, there are people on the other side of the earth keeping you in our thoughts.
Thanks for this!

Apparently a year ago, I saved this on my facebook: When Positivity is the Problem

I'm not the author btw. She grew up in a very controlling environment.

"The mask I’m grieving is a forced smile.

This makes therapy difficult, because many of the solutions to depression include focusing on the positive. My counselors have said they’re working with a rare case – usually they work depressed people toward seeing the bright side of life, but I worked my way to depression through positivity.

I was the happy fairy. I smiled when I was alone, to brace myself for things I didn’t want to do. The reason this made me depressed is that I couldn’t handle the cognitive dissonance of denial. I thought everything was fine when it wasn’t. I blocked out memories of abuse, and I participated in a cycle of self-blame for everything that went wrong. I couldn’t explain why pain was so attractive to me; it would take years to realize I needed to physically express what I was emotionally suppressing."

Quite interesting to re read about how denial can damage.

I had a dream that i waited for T in waiting room..and he never came out to get me!!!
The client was in the room with him...T stepped out for a minute and saw me waiting. Client leaves after 5 minutes. I wait and wait. I walk the waiting room. I can hear T walk in and out of his room...n keep thinking now he will come and get me. He doesnt. I chck my appt time. Its correct. He has no other client with him. I gave up and take a seat. I wait. Then i woke up from my sleep.

I am really hoping this doesnt happen to me at my next appt.
