Blah. I feel like dodo and wish I was at home in my bed.

Mama kitty came close yesterday and did not run off when I stood up to leave, so we are making progress.

I am so exhausted at the thought of therapy and then lunch with some people from high school. Not sure why I agreed to do this. Then I have to get back to work and deal with a case where I am pretty sure my opposing counsel does not know how to read. I cited a case which makes it clear that his case should be dismissed but he seems to think that the same words mean he wins.

It is no fun when the law is clear and the other side (or clients) just won't stop.
I often figure maybe the other atty is getting paid enough to keep making losing arguments.
I have a case like that right now - I am probably getting about 1/4 of what the opposing attys are making on their hourly fee and their clients are nuts - but it is no skin off their back to come in and argue even where we all know they are most likely not going to win because the law and facts go my way. In my case, the judge keeps wanting us to work it out so has thus far not just made a ruling that will end the whole thing. And even then, they probably will try filing an appeal.

We are away this week and after I finally got to sleep at about 1.30am, my eldest child decided that 4.30am was time to wake me up. Not before going into my youngest child's room and waking him up first. Sigh. All these sports activities we have planned will now be carried out in a state of zombification.

6.5 more hours.....

I am on my last business trip for work. During the layover here, I realized what I forgot to pack - my favorite Couch word.

Sometimes their aren't ever words even in existence that could help or describe or allow release.

Am trying to think about innocuous things to say to T tomorrow. If he says that he saw me in the school yard on Friday I just might run off; I'm betting he didn't but just in case I have to fill the silence, also in order for him to think I'm doing well.

You must be dealing with my ex's doppelgänger... My sympathies.

I'm hanging in there, it's 3.25 hours until I get to go home, and all I really want to do is take a nap. . .

2.5 more house I get to leave work and then to T - and then home to bed.

Ellah, if I take a nap then I'll be up all night. I'll just go to bed early and try not to wake up in the wee hours of the morning again.

It is very hard to explain properly. Sorry. I also owe mkac an apology for not acknowledging it when she asked me about what happened last week. I really appreciated that, it made me feel visible. I just can't follow up on my posts. What's wrong with me?
