I was bad and logged into facebook (have not been on in over a year) to look at pdoc's profile. I came across it looking at the psych office's facebook page. He likes some strange pages, makes me think a little differently about him. I should NOT have done this, but I was curious, since it was accessible from the clinic's facebook page and the clinic's page is not wrong to look at, since that is a "professional" thing. I just wish I would have not seen his likes and comments. One of them said "working on a saturday. to many patients" It was all in lowercase and used the wrong "to". Odd for someone who is supposed to be educated. And to come right out and say "too many patients" seems a little harsh, since he can control whether or not he will accept a new patient. He can say no if he feels he has too many. Just weird.
I don't think that it is bad to look at public information on Facebook. There are ways to keep your stuff private so IMO anyone who does not take those steps has got to be ok with people looking at their pages.
On the other hand, if what he posts disturbs you, probably better to stay away.
Thanks for this!

(((Squirrel))) my previous pdoc was a terrible speller. When he told me he had originally wanted to be a rocket scientist, I said, did you get in the wrong line to enroll? Psychiatrist instead of physicist? he didn't think it was that funny. Because in the olden days, we really did enroll under handwritten signs.
Thanks for this!

May I come too?

I'm so caught up in my self that I haven't really reached out much.

Granite. I hear your heart and I'm so sorry that you felt alone. I know that feeling.

Have to go to bed in a bit, but would love to hang a bit.

Except how entirely awful one would feel after doing so.

Lord, I'm an English teacher but please don't judge me on my grammar on social media. I tend to type fast (and often inaccurately--my brain moves faster than my fingers) and rarely proofread right away. Sometimes I reread and see my doofus errors and correct them before the edit option goes away; sometimes I don't. It isn't being graded so I'm not too terribly worried about it. I try not to be the grammar police for other posters either.

As far as his "too many patients" comment goes -- he was working on a Saturday and probably tired. Just sounds honest and human to me. I love teaching but that doesn't mean I don't want to escape them at times and it isn't like they don't realize that. I know my pdoc covers the hospital patients on weekends on a rotating basis with the other pdocs so they all get a few weekends off a month, but there he is at the hospital early on certain Saturdays and Sundays and it crosses my mind that this is the man who has already put in 5 straight workdays of about 12 hours each minimum. He likes his work, but I'm sure those weeks are a drain. He's human.

Sorry seeing your pdoc's page upset you, but you might should stay off his FB page if it bothers you just for your own self-care.
Thanks for this!

My nephew says his dog Louie is doing fine. They gave him benadryl and the swelling went down very quickly. He says Louie is feeling good again. He posted a picture of Louie lying next to the dead copperhead (which now has two bullet holes through it). Louie has his own FB page by the way. LOL! He is SOME dog!

So glad he's doing better! We live in an area where copperheads are common. We have a miniature schnauzer and I've been concerned with all the snakes I've seen this year.

Glad the dog is ok.

I have T on Monday. Not looking forward to it, something went really wrong last session and I don't understand. He keeps looking for psychosis.

Squirrel, my T has commented that his son has gotten on his Facebook page and posted snotty or inappropriate comments. I had to tell him how to delete them.

It is 3 am here and I have been awake for an hour. Pup had to pee and started whining before 2. I tried to get her to wait, but she insisted she could not. And she really did have to pee. Going to have to call the vet because she was sleeping through the night the last couple of weeks. Once I was up, I noticed my crippled horse was super upset and had to go check on him and it turns out two other horses had gotten out. They were in a pen to keep him company but had knocked down a panel and left. So I was wandering around the neighbor's field in the dark looking for them. Now I am totally awake and cannot get back to sleep.

It's 4:30 here, and I have been up since 2. Sigh. I am in a weird space with therapy right now. t1 is seeing me three times a week (which I love) for this month because I am moving July 1. But after the move we go back to 2. I wish it would stay at three. I want to stop seeing t2 and see t1 more. But I don't think he will go for that. And since he's been clear that this is just for this month, I don't want to admit how much I want it to stay like this because I don't want to face him saying no. So, here I am, journaling. Sigh.

Morning couch. I am up and wide awake. I did not set an alarm and just woke up naturally, so I guess I was ready to get up. Oh well. It isn't even 8am.

Was up late texting my mom. My brother has no insurance and has been having mental health problems, so he went to the health department. The dr there diagnosed him as bipolar and ADHD and wrote him a prescription for Latuda and Concerta. My brother was at a loss because Latuda is over $800 here and he cannot afford that every month. My mom thinks he needs a second opinion and says she will pay for his second opinion visit if he can find a reliable dr. She asked about my pdoc and if I knew whether or not he was accepting new patients and how much an initial visit was. I told her did not, so she wants me to call today and ask, since they know me and would be honest with me. I will call, but I don't see why I can't just give her the number and let her call. Oh well. I will just ask the receptionist if she knows...she may have to pass the call off to the office manager, but I will get answers to my mom's questions. The office opens at 10 because that is when the T that works in his office starts taking patients. so I will call as soon as they open, before they get busy this afternoon when pdoc and the ARNP are in.

Could he go back to the health department and ask for a less expensive prescription, like for something that comes in generic form?
Thanks for this!
