I'm sorry, I was being tongue-in-cheek. Didn't mean to be inappropriate. But thank you, that's sweet

It's just a principle I try to keep to, that if I am not doing so good I stay away from PC.

y'know all these free nook books i downloaded for 15, they seem to have a common theme.... teenage girls about 15 or 16 who discover they have some kind of magical power or other. No wonder my inner teenager enjoys reading them so much. I felt so powerless, so ugly, so stupid, so hated at that age.... and that part of me so relates to them.... and so rejoices for them when they learn of their powers lol.

I am not so sure about Satchel Paige.
I would be more in favor of Monty Python or Gilbert and Sullivan.

Staying busy today in between coming here, finished the laundry, unloaded/loaded the dishwasher, cleaned out the litter boxes, paid bills... all inside stuff, since it's already 109 degrees (F) outside.... not going out there unless I have to!! They're saying it should hit 116 today.
Thanks for this!

Art, you have learned your powers now
Though I think there's no harm adding immortality or x ray vision etc.
@@ cream first, then jam, strawberry of course.
Thanks for this!

The book I'm reading now, our heroine is just finding out that she's both a witch and psychic. The 'founding families' of the town she just moved to (of which she is part of one) are either witch or psychic, but she's both, so extra-special. I love this kind of ****! (Maybe it's the excessive heat outside, now weather.com says we're at 111 F.)

But so exciting too. When we moved to Tucson from Sacramento, both h and I were disgusted with our jobs and quit at the same time, and moved here with neither of us having jobs. I think you're doing it in the right order - having the job first!!

I am the biggest inconvenience and ruined ever. I break everything, and cause everyone stress. It's frustrating.

It helps that new company is paying for most of the relocation. Couldn't move without it!

A friend I haven't seen in years is coming to visit tomorrow. My house is a mess but he knows I'm depressed so I'm ambivalent about exactly how hog wild I want to go with the cleaning. I also need to rest a bit so I can actually be present while he's here.

I'm such a wimp. It's 90 here and I can't seem to drag myself to another Goodwill drop-off...

My trick is to clean the main areas your guest will be in but just shut the door to other rooms. A PSA by one lazy growlycat
