I don't know that I could ever be vegan. I'm very slowly eliminating meat from my diet, but I'm not sure I'll ever get much farther with it than that. I'm still trying to learn how to actually like a lot of vegetables. There are only a few I really like, the others I tolerate in minor amounts or not at all.
Thanks for this!

I live for the East Coast's annual blizzard...or rather I live for the nickname the media give it. Snowzilla, Snowpocalypse, etc.
Thanks for this!

I'm sitting here this evening feeling very sentimental about Girl Scout Camp.... listening to the rain outside makes me remember rainy evenings with the whole camp gathered in the Old Side dining hall, singing camp songs because there was nothing else we could do when it was raining so hard. I used to love leading songs with other staff members... I'm not usually such an actor-type, but I dunno, camp was just different like that....

In other news, I just heard on TV that the temperature dropped from 105 F to 75 F during the storm. That's some crazy ****. I love weather.

I am thinking perhaps my sentimentality tonight, is because I am going to be talking with t tomorrow morning about letting go of my old story... I wonder how you do that and still keep the good parts.... ?

Ah, my memories from camp, are some of my bestest ones of all.

ME: I want to continue doing X

T: well my family does Y, and so does my wifes family. Its okay for you to be doing X. you are different and that is okay.

?????????????

i felt so weird...like you grew up with family doing Y. you wife grew with the same thing. my husband wants the same thing. yet i want it different. I already feel selfish and unsure. but just that I really like to continue with it. as it makes me really happy. that is the only reason. my family maybe suffering...but i am continuing with this .

by T bringing up his upbringing with the Y method...i felt so small and wrong.

I walked three miles tonight playing Pokemon go. So addicting but if it gets me exercising.... The downside- teens love seeing old people obviously playing Pokemon go. A group drove by me and yelled poke-a hole !! But then they all stuck their arms out of the car and waved. At least they didn't yell NERDS!! I waved back sheepishly

You could try geocaching too - I do it sometimes when I'm exploring a new city, or I get myself to do a hike with a geocache at the end of it.

It's Friday so I'm having dessert. I don't do well with sugar, since it knocks me out, so I try to limit to the weekend. Also, I'm a vegan in a town with not a lot of vegan options, so I have to really work to cheat. Mostly, I love getting fresh berries at the farmer's market or on my walks. But tonight is salted vanilla caramel non-dairy something or other.
well at least you got the yummy part down!

I've always wanted to try geocaching!! I had a friend years ago who would do these gps scavenger hunts with her husband!! It seems like it would be more fun with other people than alone.

Geocaching sounds like more fun than the pokemon thing. No offense to anyone who does pokemon go, it's just I think I got very burned out on pokemon when my son was young - it was all he talked about for what felt like ever!! lol

I was never a Pokemon fan but I do like the gps enabled game concept. Geocaching at least has real trinkets buried in the end!! I am finding the game more similar to tamagotchi than the nineties Pokemon games. Maybe because getting eggs to hatch means I gotta walk.

There are regular geocaching events - you can pick up companions there, or join a team.

The rain has stopped, I'm no longer thinking about camp, now I'm thinking about the simplest explanation to give t tomorrow as to why I asked to come when I had been perfectly fine waiting until 8/6 prior to yesterday. A witness. I think that's it. I want her, need her, to be my witness as I state my intention to myself and to the universe that I am releasing my old story, no longer letting it define who I am, and moving forward with excitement into my new story.

That homework I just did, sorry to keep talking about it so much, but I can't say enough about how helpful it was, that re-writing of my story as a fairy tale - it was hard to get it started, I met with a good bit of resistance at first, but once I knew I was on the right track it pretty much wrote itself. If she had asked me to do it 6 months ago, or even 3 months ago, I would not have been able to. For some reason this was exactly the right time.

Ok I'll shut up about it now

Art who's did you end up characterizing the heroine? Was she human? Something else? I can understand if you don't want to get too specific
