I am having a really big dilemma regarding school and a choice I need to make. The reason I'm having trouble with the choice stems from my anxiety and OCD which is something only my former T knows about me. I could talk about it with the new therapist I'm seeing in a few weeks, but she doesn't know anything about me, and I'd have to do so much explaining. I just wish I could pick up the phone and call my old T because she would understand right away.

I was in the same situation a few months ago (only without the OCD). I understand how hard this is and how you must feel. I shared it with my new T, but it isn't like with a T you have been seeing for a while. I felt so lonely and alone.
I hope this new T will be good for you and you can share this with her.
Thanks for this!

I am in the same situation. I have things that I need to talk about but I don't trust my new T that much yet and we are still new and I would have to explain so much. I also wish I could phone my old T b/c I could talk about it and she would know the situation and she would get it so much better. Its hurts and I am sorry you are hurting. Its hard to start over but I hope your new T will be a good fit and you can talk to her about this. You never stop missing someone who meant so much but it is possible to move on with someone else who can be helpful. Best of luck to you!
Thanks for this!
