I don't think there is anything you can say right now, since your psychiatrist made up his mind. He seems to believe the hospital is harming you.

In your other thread you stated you needed a pass to prepare for discharge. What happened?

Well the court order was a standard 30 days. They cut them short and add to them all the time. This is a different guy than the one who thought the hospital was harming me. This was put through 30 days ago.

What happened on the pass is in the "trigger" section.

I think he's saying that being in the hospital isn't helping bc you seem to be doing the same things. Was the harming yourself on the pass a message to them that you are not ready?

I don't see how they can release you because of what happened on the day pass...Are they acting like it's BPD again and using that as an excuse? Because it seems obvious that you're not OK to be on your own right now. It seems like they should only release you if there's someone who can stay with you or something...

I was going to

So it was a minimization.

He hasn't said that yet just to be clear, but I'm expecting it.

We don't have therapy in hospital here btw. It's just a safe, locked ward.

I'm not sure. It's a holiday weekend and the normal doctors aren't wirking.

I'm not sure, but yes it would be the BPD thing.

I'm not looking forward to facing him. God.

All you can do is be honest with them about your lack of safety outside the hospital. Is it at all possible to move in with family or someone? You are clearly not safe living alone. Are there halfway houses as an option? Is intensive outpatient where you go in every day a possibility?

I did a group home and it was awful, plus I have dogs. I think they might suggest IOP for at least 3 months if they don't extend the hospitalization.

Who has been taking care of your dogs during your hospital stay? A different group home might be a different experience. I don't know, but being on your own is not working for you for any length of time at this point. A supervised situation of some sort seems like the only option since you are unable to keep yourself safe.
Thanks for this!

I wouldn't stay alone in this situation. Talk to your t about options or talk to your family . How did you obtain those dogs? It seemed somewhat unusual to get dogs under the circumstances unless someone just forced you to take the dogs. Can someone else take care of your dogs ?

There usually isn't therapy in psych wards. They aren't designed for long term stays

Is there some aspect.of being in the hospital that you like? It doesn't seem that it's just being kept safe since you still aren't safe while there

I don't know what's available up there in Canada buy in the US they have residential treatment centers and some are specialized like for eating disorders or trauma, etc. Is there anything like that there that you could look into?

You suffer so much, Pink. Do you think IOP will be helpful? It seems odd to me that you are expected to somehow be safe after 30 days of locked ward and no therapy. I hovered on the brink of safety for sometime and know it feels awful. I am sorry.
Thanks for this!

I'm discharged. Just got home. So tired.

My dogs are 8. They were puppies when I got them from a seizure of over 100 puppies from a puppy mill. I haven't always been this sick. Recovery and relapse but I care for them better than I care for myself.
