I would not like it because I like my therapist to be really predictable. I know I can always call him and he'll get back to me when he can, and that's enough for me. It would make me anxious to think he might decide to reach out to me on his own.

He also made the point once that he thinks it's a drag to be out living your life and have your therapist call you, unbeckoned. That's kind of how I feel as well.
