My T2 is an intern, so I know she's still learning. However, I wonder esp lately that she's not handling my therapy the best she can. For example, besides today's session, she never asks about my SI or SH. I don't offer it up to her either, so maybe it's my fault for not bringing it up. But considering I've been inpatient twice since August, I would think she would at least ask. I wonder maybe since she knows I see another T, that she expects the other T to asks those questions and be on top of it. How do others who have more than one T handle these types of situations? Should I bring it up next time I see her? Or just let it be since new T1 might assess this during her sessions with me.

Your SH and SI sounds quite bad...private areas, needing stitches etc. Maybe she doesn't know how it is like for you

This is true that my SH has been really bad in the past few months. I don't think I've told her anything other than how often I have been SH.

My worry is that she is assuming it's like the superficial cuts people like me do, and doesn't know you've required medical attention, you picking surgery staples etc.

It would be good if she was asking questions to assess severity and tissue damage, but maybe she plain doesn't know.

I'd suggest informing her, if you feel it's something you want to do.

I'm concerned that you're hurting so much.
Thanks for this!

Thank you. Today in session she asked if it would be okay if she continues to ask about how often I SH, and I agreed to that. I believe I told her about the staple incident, so I don't know if she's just assuming that it hasn't been that bad still. I worry that she might over react since she's an intern if I tell her it's still pretty bad. I have told T1 so at least one of my Ts know.

If you feel uncomfortable, you can talk in hypotheticals, also you can raise your fears on her possibly overreacting.

As an intern, hopefully she has an experienced clinical supervisor.

You don't have to tell her, of course, just that it seems you're considering.

It's good that T1 knows. You deserve support, concern and care.
Thanks for this!

My T tries to avoid focusing on SH Sui, as T says giving it attention can make it worse. I guess T sees it as a symptom rather than something separate to address.

She does have a supervisor, I know that much at least. I'm just thinking of telling her because I've been working with her for a year now as apposed to 2 sessions with my new T1. I need to open up to someone about it and I feel like I don't have that right now.
