I have decided to finally call the police on the truck driver who has pissed the rest of the street off by parking his large truck in a narrow suburban street. I have finally found out what the law is regarding this and he can be charged with 3 offences. But again I feel anxious and bad about doing this. Why am I so afraid to stand up and do something. Maybe because I live 3 doors down from a truck driver.

They wouldn't tell the truck driver who made the complaint , would they?

No. They would probably say they had report from someone in the area.
Thanks for this!

This is so true. I thought I'd gotten rid of one by making them mad enough to stop talking to me, but after several months...they're baaaaack. I want to say, Hey, I am a horrible person, remember? Not worth your time? Can we get back to that again?

Honestly, in my case, I think they've run out of material to use when complaining to their friends and other family members, and they have to replenish their supply of things I've said or done that are awful.

So, I don't know if this'll work for you guys but typically the Evil Return is accompanied by a large dose of sanctimony and self-righteousness -- "Look, we're being so nice to renew contact with your awful self and aren't you genuflecting in sheer gratitude over it?".

So, in response, I just double up on the 'awful-ness' -- usually, since their sanctimony meter has gone up a couple of notches, the awful-ness dosage needs to be commensurately increased (I do have a never-ending supply of it as far as they're concerned it seems). After a while, it works and they just can't take it any more and I'm back to my peaceful existence. Lather, rinse, repeat ever so often.

Of course this doesn't stop them from being creep-a-holics by keeping tabs on me in various ways (seriously intense web searches -- the results of which are conveyed to family that I cannot avoid talking to; solicitous enquiries about me conveyed to again, family I can't avoid dealing with; and so on). But, at least direct contact is curtailed.

Okay dream guys - last night I had a dream about the first one - I was in her office and stood up to toss money down when I realized there was no table and that there was no furniture except the folding lawn chairs she and I had been sitting in. I asked - are you retiring? And she said yes, she had just sold all her furniture to a therapist in a close suburb and would give me her info if I wanted it. I declined, tossed money in the chair, told her "well then, good bye" (I never say goodbye when I leave) and walked out for the last time.

I think art would call that a termination dream. You're ready to face the world without the woman!

The EVIL RETURN—this is so perfectly put. I'm kind of surprised these people don't come with their own dark theme music to presage the return.

Or possibly the dream may mean that stopdog doesn't see therapists as reliable. You can thank me, dr. obvious!

I have always been ready to face the world without the woman. She has done nothing for me in terms of world facing.

However, true to my form-It took me awhile to notice the surroundings were different.

Don't look now, but your subconscious begs to differ!

Is it wrong of me to see my T twice a week when I could get by with only one appointment a week? It feels wrong or selfish somehow.

Think of it as your way of boosting the economy?

I do know what you mean, I felt the same way when I saw No. 3 twice a week earlier this year. In retrospect it was very helpful and the right thing to do.

I don't know - she still didn't have a face in the dream. I don't think they are reliable - the idea they are not reliable sounds a bit more reasonable to me

Then why did you say goodbye?

Or, maybe your subconscious is into CS Lewis?

So she didn't think I was going to pay her for final appointments or talk about her retiring with her.

This probably says more about me than about the original dreamer but... The fact that she has no face means that she cannot see you, as she has no eyes. You don't feel seen/heard/understood by her.

Or maybe since she's faceless she can't be known or understood?
