Im glad they didnt do your neck. They let people out so early compared to olden days. You really do your recovery at home. We love you, granite.

It's good to hear from you, granite. I know someone who recently had heart surgery and the loss of appetite is apparently expected. What a crappy time of year to go through that, though.

Speaking of food, I've eaten my first and last annual Thanksgiving rice bowl with pukey seasoned tempeh and veggies. Even though it tasted like stagnant ditch water, I ate too much of it and never want food again. So, in that way it was good.
Thanks for this!

We are all tired and stuffed, back home and glad I'm done making small talk and eating in front of people. (Does anyone else have that hatred?)

Out of curiosity - what would you guys think of a therapist who had a cafepress store? That sold like mugs with the name of her practice on them?
Thanks for this!

The nude ones or the non-nude ones?

Nah, it's literally mugs with the name of the practice on them. Nothing else.

Well we tried to go to the local casino's buffet, but the line stretched all the way around the inside of the casino so we all said "ah, no." And proceeded to Village Inn, where we got a very delicious turkey dinner including the pumpkin pie. Very reasonably priced. We would have paid 3 times as much at the casino and we ended up being just as full as we would have there. So it was all good! Enjoyed the time listening to our son talking about his job and his plans for his future and the classes he's taking next semester and stuff. Eta: it's discussions like the one we had today that make me realize, even though I know I made mistakes, just how much I did right raising that boy. I love him so much and am so proud of him.
Thanks for this!

Hi all,

Would love some humanely raised turkey right now, so I came here. After all, the couch has everything, right? I'll try not to get turkey drippings on the couch.

I can't think of any reason why that would be a good idea. If my therapist did that, I'd be worried for her.

To me it would almost be like exploiting clients in a way, taking more of their money just so they can think of t in-between sessions. She/he should just give her clients a piece of paper for free. But that's just my opinion.
Thanks for this!

My T1 gave clients a mug with his business info on them. He also gives out pens and pads of paper. I like free things

We still have mugs that were given to H 29 years ago when he did drug rehab. I guess we don't break mugs very often. I think the treatment center is closed. Funny that the mugs lasted longer than the business.
Thanks for this!
