Dear Client --

When you cancel a session and I ask you why, and you (unfortunately for you) confess that you need a break, I take that as an open invitation to wear you down with my check-ins (after of course telling you that I respect your wishes) until given your general discomfort with confrontation, you will just agree to show up for the session because you will assume not doing so would be churlish.

I will of course interpret this as healthy behavior regardless of how you feel about your inability to stand up to someone you're actually paying $$$ to. Good luck working on that assertiveness stuff (clearly not with me).

What happened last night? You are usually so engaged but last night I found you going back into yourself and not looking at me. You know this frustrates me so much. You remind me so much of myself sometimes. I wish you would tell me what you are thinking and feeling sometimes. I tell you too much and I realise this.

What you did was really hard yesterday and you did so well. I am proud of you, and I wish you hadn't gone through that as a child. Thank you for allowing me to be alongside you.

I'm sorry I'm so clumsy about my wording in emails. Perhaps I never should have offered between session contact.

This would totally piss me off and result in an even stonier demeanor than usual.
(telling women to smile more, even in a positive way, really pisses me off)
(this is not meant to detract from or cast any doubt upon ATAT's brilliant smile)

I get the impression she really digs said husband, despite his questionable taste in fashion.

My t says stg similar. Are they just doing the "look happy, your brain doesnt know the difference" bit?

This was part of a rah-rah speech in which she said I should have hope for the future because, resiliency, intelligence, and a brilliant smile.

This is one of the many reasons I don't let the first one I see talk at all.
