I love skeleton keys. I have a few necklaces and also a tattoo of one on my inner arm, close to my wrist.

I wonder if the owner of said picture you search can find out who searched it.

There's no way the original poster of the picture could have access to that information - it's between you and Google (and anyone who can access your search history using your computer or Google account). I'm genuinely 100% sure of that!

Detecting your IP address still wouldn't give them access to that information... unless they have access to Google's servers as well.

I mean, yeah, if someone can hack into your Google account or your computer to access your browser history, then they'd be able to find it out.

Well, okay. Art... If someone whose picture you searched for buys your search history from Google (or steals your laptop) then they'll know that you searched their picture. OK? Couch 136: Transference Welcome!

Dunno what happened to my earlier comment, but CE's comment made me remember of anecdotes of about how Steve Jobs would roll his eyes and mutter "ridiculous" whenever he heard Google's motto "don't be evil."

I did a little craft project today (two birds/one stone post: none of you can tell me your hands are ugly, that is my cross to bear!) a little travel-friendly transitional object... I have a proper one that I selected from T's office but it's very special and big and fragile so I cannot take it when I travel, and I have to go on short overnight trips a lot. I wish I had something to help me this past weekend so I got to work on a solution.

It's a flower that I picked on the way home from a hard session and saved for a few weeks, laminated on a bit of card with his handwriting on the back (just a recommendation for some herbal thing). I think he'd he very proud because he wants me to be less scared of attachment, but I'll probably never tell him. I'm telling all of you instead, how cool is that?

I just found someone on fb who knew my ex well and is unlikely to have left the area. I think I will contact him tomorrow and see what he knows.

That would be so great mine wasnt exactly an ex - just one date? - but he really should have been "the one". I talked to his brother a few years ago but it left me with more questions than answers. But also helped me answer some questions about myself.

Self-loathing: there are a lot of tasty things in my kitchen that I could have eaten my pita with, things like hummus or labneh or olive oil or even homemade liver pate, or schmaltz, or nutella, but I chose old pasta sauce from a jar.

Hey, I had meatballs for dinner. Just meatballs. No sauce or pasta. So if we could find someone with just pasta, we'd have a complete dinner!

My anxiety is out of control tonight.. stressed about packing for vacation, stresses about going in vacation with husband and his family. And almost convinced that I will die in a fiery crash on the interstate in the way to vacation.

Please say a prayer for me tonight. I'm in a not so nice place and trying to sort out if I'm being rational or triggered.

Thank you!

I ****ing hate my job. We've recently disabled internet access on all intranet connected computers.

And yes some people don't know how to save a document with links to commonly used internet websites, go to the dedicated internet computer, open the document and click on the link they want.

Uhh... I just wanted to write about why you don't have to be paranoid about the google thing... but uhm, why did you do that? I het it from a security point of view, but it just sounds like an awful lot of extra work for everyone... wouldn't it have been easier to update your IT-security? Sorry, just curious

sorry the people you're working with are so stupid... I always found it fascinating how few people could know about computers and still be able to use them...

I'm not sure why management decided to do that sigh. Something about fearing that a computer connected to the internet can be infected and then spread it through the intranet.

I think it's silly because now I'm using a USB thumbdrive a lot between the internet computer and my intranet workstation...and thumbdrives can be infected too...

We do have wireless so people can use their smartphones but honestly I doubt the wisdom of that.

The move affects even the IT department haha. Which is really annoying because I use the internet for work daily. I ended up bringing in my old laptop (with regularly updated antivirus, script blockers on web browser etc) so I don't have to walk across half the IT department floorplan.

I'm guessing the VIP pitching a fit didn't read or didn't understand the giant header of the "commonly used links" document that's served whenever you click a link to an internet site on an intranet computer.

It actually tell you to save the document via thumb drive to an internet PC then open the document there and click the link you want.

You can also just use your smartphone QR code reader because we created QR codes for each link too.

Anyway, I was...literally and completely seriously asked to create a guide with pictures for "How to Save A Document into a USB Thumbdrive and then plug it into a internet PC, open the document and click whatever link you want in the document". So I just created it, but I feel it's insulting their intelligence...I hope they don't really need it!

Hugs... once had to write a picture guide for another developer (who unfortunately was my boss), describing how to execute a java-file (you basically open a terminal and type java filepath).

I really don't get why you did that... I couldn't have worked without intranet/internet access at the same time. I'm wondering how long it'll take until you have to revert that

I went to university although I have vacation, but I don't trust myself to be home alone all day. Hope T will be able to help me today...

My sister is texting up a storm to me now since I foolishly decided to tell her about the guide I had to make and I also snarked a bit about how that generation likes to call my generation and millenials incompetent and entitled (when they're the most entitled and ignorant cohort among the people I serve). I regret my words haha because maybe I was bitter about my dad of that same generation because he recently called me useless.

I don't think we'll revert it because we're pouring in serious money (think millions) for certain business critical applications to factor in the change.

Hugs. I hope T will be able to help you today. What might soothe your distress when you're at university?
