Do You Know?

Do you know?
Just yesterday I dreamt of you
We worked together with shovels
In the garden
Pulling out weeds and
Planting flowers,
Yellow, with the Fall light
Around us
We leaned on our shovels
And mostly talked

Do you know?
How today I was alone
Even when I was with you
And him
How my deflections
Both hid my pain and
Scattered your vision
But you saw him
And I was falling apart
Catch me
Nothing
You promised

Do you know?
I will never do that again
It’s over
What a mistake
You said I would be safe
You would be there
To protect me

Do you know?
That dream
What prescience
For at the end,
I leave you alone
With your flowers
And shovel
And don’t look back

(((sunrise)))

that was beautiful. i especially liked these lines:

>How my deflections
>Both hid my pain and
>Scattered your vision

sometimes they miss, huh. i get this mental picture of a two year old holding out its arms needing desperately to be picked up and the person is oblivious... ugh.

i sent my t an email once about my being scared he would coax me to sleep in his arms only to put me down somewhere while he goes to do something else and then something bad gets me. :-(

its scary.

will you look back if heruns after you and puts one hand (safely) on your elbow?

?

human frailty.

******* it can hurt

:-(

((((((Sunny))))))

I know you were doing that long couples session this weekend that you wished you didn't agree to.

It sounds like you were overwhelmed and felt like you were ganged up on by the two men in your life. I hope you can dream again, that the flowers bloom again, that you can plant again and read or send T this poem. For it doesn't have to end completely like this. And I hope you will be able to talk this through with T.

((((Sunny))))

Take gentle care.

Oh Sunrise. I am wondering what happened in your session, and worried about you. A poem for T Your poem is a beautiful and painful representation of what you are feeling. I hope you can talk to us more.
