I have a new job that I'm not yet 100% familiar with and it's the most responsibility I've ever had. I think I'm doing a terrible job but everyone is telling me how well I'm doing. It makes me feel even worse, either that they are talking down to me like I'm some idiot they don't expect any good work out of, or that they don't really comprehend how bad I'm doing and it's like a lie, making them think everything's great when it's not

I hate my brain. Good job anais, here's a cookie and a gold star for you for sending that email all full of organization and good words.

But it's one of my dream gigs. I loathe this. And I can hear my mom's voice if she knew I was doing this job: "ooooohhhh, okkkk.... hmm... well......... good for youuu, sweetie..."

Responsibility can be scary. I know that feeling that everyone is just not realizing at how huge I'm messing up.

So, here's the first lesson in "be a good brain school": there's a third possibility that's actually the most likely, der anais brain. The possibility that you're actually doing good.

Hi, couch. I am home from C and caught up on the couch. I am just chilling before heading to CVS later this afternoon.

I had to take C to the dentist today for his cleaning and check-up. Even though he is technically an adult, he still sees a pediatric dentist...makes since since he still has to be talked to like a kid and can only comprehend kid language/vocabulary. And the pediatric dentist is more understanding when C refuses to open his mouth, because a lot of kids do that. He knows how to gently talk to him and coax him to open.

I need to clean my room still...bad bad bad Squirrel.

Funny enough, that was my experience with P...who once seemed very concerned that I would miss the leaves turning if I didn't snap out of it. Maybe I should have left then, and not five sessions later. God bless R.

however i have another interview today at 1 30- this one is MUCH closer to my home. the other one was 30 min away. this one is like 5 minutes. so my plan is to go to this interview and amaze them with my customer service skillz, get THIS job, and go from there.

the only reason they wnat to Drug test me at the other store is because i will be the service LEAD. at the store im going to today i will merely be a cashier and no one cares if cashiers have marijuana in their system as long as they can count change and smile
Drink lots of water. Almost anything will leave your body quicker if you are well hydrated.

FYI: Drug testing is pretty standard, even for cashier positions. It is a way to rule out and narrow down applicants.

I have a friend who does something similar to this. He knows I have major depressive disorder. He'll say, "So how come you're sad?"

I just want to say on here, so I don't derail a thread, that I really like una's expanded vocabulary of richard head, richard move, etc.

I have been out all day, and the cats apparently feel that this is unacceptable judging by their meows. Should I tell them they are making me feel "boxed in" and that this "isn't therapeutic"?

Tell them they need to learn proper boundaries.

Talk about walking on eggshells waiting to see if they will eat or reject their food - the very food they loved yesterday

I saw M yesterday, he is back from Japan and he did not bring me a box of my favorite Japanese cookies as I'd hoped. It's fair because we've never discussed these cookies and I bet he doesn't even know they exist. But.

I saw L today. She also did not have the cookies for me but she also wasn't in Japan, so it's understandable though regrettable just the same.

I know someone who manages a business that drug tests applicants. They had one guy they really really liked, but the manager said they couldn't hire him--not because the urine test came back positive for drugs, but because it came back that he was pregnant. She really enjoyed calling to let him know the results. Maybe he will think twice before using someone else's urine next time.
