I had an MRI a few months ago - one of the weirdest experiences I've ever had! I hope it goes well, Ellahmae.

(eta: I say it was weird, but I didn't find it unpleasant, just to clarify - if you are anxious about it I don't want to add to that! I actually kind of enjoyed it.)

You don't necessarily, but if it is a head MRI and you are at all claustrophobic, the combination of the tight enclosed space and the loud thumping is sometimes more than a person can stand and sedation is necessary in order to stay still while they do the MRI.

I had an MRI but I don't remember it at all... now I'm sad since apparently it was so superlatively bizarre

I do remember getting a CT scan, I was in the hospital on a wonderful cocktail of drugs and it was hands down the happiest I've ever been. I don't mean that in a pathetic way. I genuinely had the best time of my life getting that CT scan. The whole thing just made me indescribably joyful and I remember telling all the medical staff what beautiful people they were

So, Morticia is out of the office for the rest of the week according to someone at her clinic.

Meanwhile CW, whom I didn't even bother to contact, suddenly emails with an opening tomorrow.

Hah! That's how I was for the endobronchial ultrasound. Dunno what they gave me but it sure was good. Never thought I could be so happy to let someone shove a tube down my throat and fiddle around in my lungs.

I didn't like the CT scan, though. I didn't have any nice drugs for that. Being injected with iodine and feeling like I'd wet myself (I guess you don't remember that weird side effect?) was no fun at all.

But yeah, the MRI was indeed superlatively bizarre. Those noises! Wtf?

I suppose it depends on whether seeing CW is going to actively make you feel worse, rather than better...

I guess I'm going. I told her what we would be talking about and she seemed supportive. We'll see.

I hope CW has her s**t together and can give you the support you need.

Plus side of today: the apartment is clean, just waiting for the Sox game to end to do the kitchen floor. Probably not clean to Jersey 2.0 or 3.0 standards, but pretty clean.

Alas, anais jinxed them to a 1-0 loss.

Not fully sedated just enough. Thankfully, my husband will be there whom I trust (one of the few safe people I have).

Severely triggers me to lay on my back. Also, the room is triggering. Let's not mention that my head will be in a tube with loud sounds that I can't hear through to protect myself.

Sox is a dirty word.... ha The Choppers don't have a game tonight so I'm editing videos and procrastinating my therapy writings/work/whatevers.

@@ I hope that CW will at least support you enough (but not too much that you run out of the door) but enough that will help you process/get $#!t out.

Heh, they've caused me to sit in countless hours upon hours of traffic, so I'm satisfied

Took all the kids to my sister's house at 6:30 in the effing morning, so they can babysit. Came home to just kitties and the house is way too quiet. Gotta get ready for work, really tempted to go back to sleep!

Morning couchies. I can't wait to get my hair done after T today - it's a disaster and needs to be washed, but I didn't want to wash it right before getting it done. Spouse flies in tonight. Work, T, Hair Appt, Car Wash, Book Buying, Pick up Spouse, Go to Sister's to get pills (she keeps them for me), then home to two fur-children as they will have been at home alone far too long.

I was just at a gas station walking into the store to pay for my gas. An old man motioned me over to his truck. I walked over there to the passenger side and he rolled down the window and asked me if I need anything.

WTF SO CREEPY.

Maybe he wanted to be my sugar daddy. I should have said like what?
