Hello couchies. Good morning/afternoon/evening (depending on where you are in the world)
I'm off work today which means I'll be cleaning the house and doing laundry. Wow, I really know how to party on a day off! . Anyhow, that's the plan. I have a lot of pages to catch up on on the couch. I haven't read back yet. We had a thunderstorm here this AM. I like brief storms. You know the ones that last 5 minutes then move out. The dogs do not like them. In other news, I drank my first cup of coffee 2 hours ago since starting metformin on on Saturday and so far-no issues at all. I think I might be in the clear as far as those horrible side effects go. My mood has also greatly improved since going back on Effexor. Well, this post was totally random.
Time to get the bleach out and douse the bathroom and kitchen. Oh Joy!
Thanks for this!

Someone in our radio just said: "dear mr. Trump, I wish you all the best and that you get replaced by a woman or a gay person. Or even better: Both at the same time"

(Not a political statement... just... quoting)

One thing about reading this forum is that it gets me all fired up for court. I get to go after one of those guys later today and I am looking forward to it.

I do believe in your line of work this forum does tend to give good ammunition when you go argue against them in court.

I just realized a year ago today I cut off contact for good with my dad. The rest of my family thought I was making it up and stopped speaking to me after that. I don't know why I was so shocked by that, but I was. Then in the next month and a half I had an accident and my apartment burnt down? Soooo we are heading into that time.

M will be away all of August. L will be away all of August AND September. It looks like I'll be on my own.

I'm thinking about upcoming appt with possible No. 6, which put me in mind of previous incumbents, and the image of a little therapeutic relationship graveyard popped into my head.

No. 1: 3/15 - 2/16
No. 2: 7/15 - 11/16
No. 3: 1/16 - ?????
DBC: 11/16 - 1/17
CW: 2/17 - 6 or 7/17

Maybe I should make a visual aid for potential No. 6?
Thanks for this!

Yes, a grave yard with big headstones and write on the headstone what each one did. When you first walk into no. 6 office, hand them the drawing, sit in silence staring at no. 6 and wait for a response...

Definitely add your own epitaphs to them.

Do doctors not understand that putting ear drops in your own ear while on your side, and having to pull your ear up and out while not touching the droppy thing to anything is difficult???? Seriously. Impossible. Can't I take amoxicillin like I did when I was a kid?

Thanks , Demunie. I have an ear infection and a possible herniated disc in my neck (c2)
Possible trigger:
. My spouse is home this weekend so I'll have him put them in for me lol but seriously - it's assez difficile.

((Munie)) join me on the giant bed for a cuddle?

(on second thoughts, that's pretty creepy, sorry... )

I'm stuck with current T (or no therapy) it seems

The other T who seemed at least somewhat promising (I've checked out pretty much anyone remotely suitable here) decided in her ultimate wisdom to send me (bcc) a link to her professional Facebook page with......."articles on living".

FB page has the requisite images of clouds, sunsets, open fields on which are etched terribly insightful (read gawdawfully banal) things.

And, there are glowing client testimonials. With 5 on 5 ratings.

I am waiting for an appropriately polite interval of time before cancelling my first appointment on Monday.

She seemed so promising

Hm. Would adding a few animals to cuddle make it less creepy?

So she's the virtual equivalent of

Every
Cloud
Has
A
Silver
Lining

?

I just realized one of CW's 5-star Google ratings was...from a female relative (unusual maiden name + quick internet search).

And wait...she sent you this and you guys hadn't even met yet?

Thanks for this!

Yes, silver lining and this one could be twins (except there are lots and lots of them floating around -- so maybe way more than twins).

And yeah, she sent it before we've ever met (or talked on the phone).

I would've been tempted to respond to CW's relative's rating and ask detailed questions.

Current T would be fine except she's now walking on eggshells (without admitting it -- how's that for wishing a therapist would actually say it out loud?) and doing all sorts of weird, extra solicitous stuff that's driving me nuts -- it's all very awkward and stilted. Gah. And, I'm wondering if she's having such an exaggerated response to what I thought was garden variety anger, what would she do if I really lose it? Argh.

So, of course, I'm doing the mature thing and canceling every other session or so which is just making it more awkward.

I think your therapist graveyard idea with suitable epitaphs and Jersey's idea of handing it over to No.6 are spot on.
