I'm glad your parents are taking you to someone. But don't go in trying to convince the T about your self diagnosis. I think you're researching too much. I understand the thoughts are bothersome but that doesn't mean you have a personality disorder. Just tell the T about your thoughts/worries and let the T do their job with diagnosing. (If the T has the correct qualifications to give a diagnosis. Not all can and will send you to a psychiatrist for an official diagnosis.) Good luck! Let us know how it goes!

I haven't met my therapist yet, but I talked to some people interested in BDSM, and it seems like getting aroused by death is pretty common in the community. Fantasizing about torture and even death doesn't seem out of place in the community either. I would still like to talk to a therapist though.
