The Couch 147: Maximum Break!

Well...I have signed up for the first ballet class - heck, my first dance class - of my entire life. What the heck is wrong with me? A year ago I would never have done this.

However, I would like to be called ATAT Fonteyn from now on. And maybe now una will let me do the sand dance?

Only if you produce verifiable proof, replete with tutu (is that what they're called?) pictures.

ATAT Fonteyn will you be writing poetry while you pirouette? lord have mercy did i actually spell that right?!

yeah me and my friend wine, we are doing just fine tonight!! I cried awhile, I've dried my tears, I'ma be okay.

Ohhh... because my daughter spends her whole life in the dance studio I have been able to take some adult ballet barre classes... it's a great work out!

Why do I always kill the couch??? Wahhhh

Certainly! Because i also have taken several adult ballet classes in my lifetime. I was even in a spring recital!! The unconscious is such a marvelous thing - that must be why i love the dancing chilli so much!

It took me a whole minute to "get it" (and still, it's a case of 'I think.....I got it').

I'm not wearing a tutu. I'm not even sure anyone but little girls use them.

I just did a Facebook go live thing of the lightening show I'm outside watching. What a trip as the names flash on your screen of who's watching! I felt all popular haha

It was iffy!

They have tutus for big girls. Ever since watsername lara stg she was on twin peaks maybe then she played a lawyer with cameryn manheim shes very very thin, she wore one to the emmys and everybody made fun of her but now everybody wears them on the internet. They love them for engagement photos with a sweater. Dont you guys follow fashion at all?? Just me?

Trials of a Sand Dancer

She's 36 and taking a dance class
for the first time ever – ballet!
Timidly she enters the room
her fear clearly on display.

The slippers she found online for cheap
clutched tightly in her hand
she thinks of the tutu in her bag
(her goal to dance in the sand)

Her friend said she wanted pictures as proof
of the escapade going down,
but the tutu won't fit, she can't pull it up
she's feeling like a clown!

And even worse than that, the shoes
she'd been so happy to find
two sizes too small – what will she do?
This is turning into a grind!

Then someone hands her for her head
a tiara sparkling bright.
Her eyes light up, she can't even care
that it's broken and kind of a fright.

So now she's ready to dance, you see
the tutu around her knees
and the slippers barely covering her toes
but she's dancing. She's dancing! See?
