I avoided what would have typically been an altercation involving law enforcement today--this means I have gone more than a month without calling 9-1-1. I don't know, it always seems busiest during the week when I'm busy. It's like the couch is my parents when I was a kid. I have to go to bed while they stay up late watching TV and eating ice cream.

New avatar. I had very similar shoes in the sixties. Only they were real suede, and the (squared off, not slopey) platform and heel were also wrapped in suede. And the pattern was simply cut out squares. Sigh. They were beautiful. I was spoiled.
