Wondering who here has a standing appointment with their Ts at the same time every week and who has a different time every week.
If you have a standing appointment at the same time each week does your t know/remember your time slot. I.e do they know why it’s you they see every Wednesday at 9am? |

I had a standing time and day for each. It was easier that way for me rather than each week being different. The first one had a memory like a sieve so I doubt she had any clue who she was seeing at anytime without checking her appointment book. I think she once referenced checking the book to see who was scheduled on a day. I did not make a new appointment each week - I would guess she simply wrote it down from week to week or just looked up in surprise at whoever walked through the door. The second one might've been better but I don't know.

I have a regular Monday slot at 3pm & see him on a Thursday for 3 out of 4 weeks & a Wednesday on the 4th week & the times vary from 2.30 - 4.40pm. My t knows exactly when I come & is always ready for me. I prefer having a regular spot, but I have learnt to except the other day being irregular as there is somewhat of a routine with it. I would go absolutely berserk if my Monday slot was ever changed!

I generally have the same appointment times, but sometimes one of us requests to shift to a different time, either on the same day or the day before or after my normal appointment. She usually has the flexibility to accommodate that. She definitely remembers my normal slots, and my appointments are set up as recurring in her calendar so she doesn't offer them to other people.

I have regular slots. It's good and gives me a sense of stability. I love routines lol and yes, my T remembers.

i don't have a regular slot. most times it will be on the same day every week but sometimes not. quite often he will change the appointment time, and i thought i hated being spontaneous but i'm actually totally fine with it.

I used to go every second Friday, but I switched to every second Tuesday. Can we call it "a regular slot"? I don't think he remembers

With marriage counselor, yes--2:15 on Mondays, and he remembers that (but we have to reschedule at times due to conflicts and holidays). With T, no standing appointment (he doesn't do them), but he knows that Wednesday is our usual day (he's commented on it), and I've only been seeing him 3 months. I don't always see him that day, though, and it's at varying times, which is fine because I work from home--plus he usually has multiple options for me. Ex-T did not have standing appointments, and she usually only had one (sometimes two) options available for me, which was kind of frustrating, because I felt I had to work around her schedule. And once, she forgot to leave a slot open for me (after I'd been seeing her a few years) and was fully booked, which really hurt...I sometimes scheduled 2 weeks in advance when my schedule was more restricted (like if D was off from school one day).

Yes, every Thursday at 3pm and yes she remembers. I feel really anxious if I need to reschedule it for any reason, I hate having to ask and it also feels weird being there at a different time or day.

Yes set schedule, we don't even talk about schedules unless something comes up and we have to change it - usually around holidays or vacations.
I believe she remembers unless we've changed it, then we end up talking about it and reconfirming it several times. |

I have a set day and time now, but I first started seeing him, it was usually set day but different times, and it was only every other week. I think he remembers because once he forgot to put me in his calendar but texted me to see what time we agreed on, so he knew I was coming that day. But that was at the beginning, now it almost never changes. I think he also has my name in his calendar every week so he doesn't give it to anyone else.

I have a standing appointment and T remembers it.
I wouldn't like it if I had to discuss appointment times every week, it seems like a waste of time. |

Yes. I have a standing appointment. We only switch things up if one of is can't make the appointment that week. She knows when my standing appointment time is and generally has standing appointments for all her clients.

I have a regular time and day. If we need to change the day and I come at a different day T always says something in jest to note the change like, it doesn't seem like a Wednesday afternoon and you are here. So after 11 years she knows I come on Wednesdays at 2:30!

I have a regular time and day with my T. We only change the appointment time when one of us can‘t make it that day, but that‘s quite rare. She definitely knows what day and time I come in and has told me she gets confused when she sees me on different days.
![]() I‘m not sure if she has standing appointments with all her clients. If I happen to see the client before me it‘s always different people... |

I have a standing sport with both T's. Because of my work schedule and that they each see clients 2 days a week I have almost no flexibility.
T1-is the same time each week. It is the last appointment of the day and I know she remembers. If I need to schedule for a different time she really tries to make it happen. Somewhat frequently the say of an appointment she will email me that slot before me opened if I want/Can come early. EMDR T is the same time every other week. Again I am the last appointment of the day. I am pretty sure she remembers that but she does have to look at her book to see if it is my week or the other lady

I don't see my T every week anymore, so I don't have a standing appointment. But she does remember the time I like and always tries to schedule me at that time.

Same day, same time every week since I started seeing him. I couldn't deal with not having a scheduled time, it would stress me out way too much.

I have a standing time on Mondays and now Thursdays. My Thursday session used to be floating around to different days/times but will be consistent starting this year.
Don't know if he remembers in his head, but it's definitely in his notebook calendar lol. |
