Morning couchies!! I slept in until 6:30 this morning and it was luxurious I tell you! (been getting up at 4:30 to be at work by 6am this month which is completely unnatural lol)

got my first paycheck of january overtime yesterday and went "Oh yeah!!" we paid off our credit card last night. Now the savings starts for our trip to Germany to visit my brother and his wife. Even though he upset me with his recent "list of rules" and at first I didn't even want to go but h and I talked about it and said screw it, we're still going, cuz SHE said we are welcome to stay at their house and didn't give any rules and told me that she agreed with me that my brother's email sounded harsh, so we're going to do that. Stay at their house, visit when he deems us worthy, and we're planning stuff to do on our own the rest of the time! Beats paying for hotels!!

I'm using my one day off this week to do laundry, I sent h to the grocery store earlier, and I'll probably cook a big batch of spaghetti later for the week and boil some eggs for breakfasts.

We're very caught up with our emails at work, we were working on same-day emails yesterday for the first time since I started this job, so tomorrow we're going to get some training on assisting the web team. I'm going to get lots of chances to learn other jobs - because of the ebb and flow of emails. Right now we're super caught up because of the overtime. And there will be other times when the volume is low. I like doing "projects" and learning other jobs because it makes me feel more valuable to management. I'm such a company girl haha

Smart and funny would be a bonus.

At this point, I'd settle for Not an A$$hat.

Not that I have any business thinking ahead that far. Bridges...cross when I get there...probly gonna have to build the darn bridge myself anyway which is probably more trouble than it's worth.
Good golly, I sound bitter. I need to go for a walk or eat a donut or something.

Go for a walk to a donut shoppe? Then you can justify two!

In my normal social circles, smart is very easy to come by, funny is not. Certainly not my kind of dark funny.

(((Artie))) its you, girl! Im betting dollars to donuts some of your personal procedures have already become company policy.

Im cooking veggies and ground turkey, to make "bowls" for dinner for the forseeable future. I bought some whole wheat gnocchi, that will be the starch element of the bowls. I love zucchini soooo much, I have to limit myself, i ate them all last night!

Re romance - imo, the boys are the buyers in a buyers market. The problem is, we're mcmansions and all they can deal with is a studio apartment.

Because I know the Couch has been waiting for my review...

Chocolate hazelnut oreos are OK. People into Nutella will probably like them more than I do.

I love bowl dinners, but mine are mainly rice bowls. Sometimes, a pasta bowl.

Man, the grocery stores in my area are really falling down on the job. I hardly ever can find the new fangled oreo flavors.

in other news, i bought a box of girls scout cookies from a gal at work, the s'mores ones, will review once I receive said cookies. i hate paying 5 bucks for a stinking little box of cookies, but i'm still a girl scout at heart I can't help it.....

(((BCM))) I feel panic and out of my depth when my car breaks. I'm sorry you're going through this with your new car! I hope it's not a cracked head and I hope the warranty takes care of it.

I dont think the warranty will take care of it as cylinder heads are covered only if there is no eveidence of overheating and blocks are covered only if damaged by internal components. I have only had the car a month, inwas talking to a lady who bought her 2nd hand car from the same dealer and she was told the mandatory services were every 6 months with interim 3 minor services. She had 6 months in her head as the first service but apparently the first service is at 3 months and she voided her warranty. She has had all sorts of trouble with her car starting with power windows and the motor burned out luckily her windows were up at the time. She cant get a motor for it in our country. It has cost her $9000 so far with problems that the car yard would have been aware of, according to a mechanic.
I hope i dont have to pay out anything close to that as i cant access any large amounts for a nother year.

(((Bcm))) i wonder if it was cracked when you got it? Else why would the first oil change have taken so much oil? It must have already been leaking, anyway?

You make a good point but the oil was transmission oil and it only took 15 litres
I checked the all a week after i got it than another week later and it was down a bit so i thought i watch it every fortnight or so but it didnt make it to the other fortnight. I wish i could have afforded to have apressure test done on the stupid thing.

I’m seriously considering canceling on Info this week. It’s not our usual Tuesday afternoon, it’s Wednesday, and I have things I enjoy more (yoga and exercise classes) that I normally do at the same time. And why I should give that up and rearrange my schedule just to see a therapist, I don’t know.

I only have one long-term friend. Unfortunately, he was a shared friend with my husband. I find it painful to talk to him because it just reminds me that my husband exists and is now in prison and he is still talking with my husband. He just texted me and I broke down and asked how he was faring in prison. I don't really want to know, but I'm weak and asked anyway. I've asked him not to discuss me or anything I say to him, and he claims to not. I hope I can trust him on that. Everything hurts right now.

Argh! That just plain stinks. I'm sorry.

I'm with una, I can't see how the car could have developed a serious problem this quickly unless they sold it to you with the problem to start with. Crossing my fingers and toes that it's an easy fix.

That seems a fairly normal, human thing to ask.
