I was in an accident a few years ago with kids in both cars and my husband driving and at fault (everyone was physically okay too but it was traumatic for the kids in the other car). My husband had a lot of guilt about that so I get it. But these things do happen, velcro and an accident is an accident. Glad everyone is okay.

I can see him at that time, and I know these things happen. But to be honest I realize I am also looking to sabotage therapy and just say goodbye already.

My t has done that - just scheduled me at the previous week's time which was a one off. And he was like completely oblivious as to what our usual time was. I was all whaaa??? And he just looked at me.

Velcro, my trauma therapist would suggest that instead of trying to stop thinking about the accident, to instead view it in my mind like a video and keep the image going through the people being ok and then to imagine that next they did something that shows that they are ok. And every time the memory comes back, to keep running it through to "safe", whatever that looks like.
Thanks for this!

Lemon, how awful to be there and T not show up. I am glad it was a misunderstanding and that you heard from him. I hope your session goes ok.
Thanks for this!

interesting. i might try that. except, i don't know if they are okay or not. the guy seemed a little out of it, and if i were a parent, i'd probably take my kid to the doctor at least
