I wrote a letter and gave to my doc, I thought he would read it while I sat there but he said he will read it after our session and then destroy it.
When I asked him what he thinks about what I wrote he said- nice letter, nothing abnormal. I wanted more comments but okay... I felt shame but it faded away.
Thanks for this!

Wow that sucks the whole reason I write letters to my therapist is because I'm trying to tell him things that I can't say in person he always reads it at the beginning of the session and goes through and answers my questions one by one for discusses different things that I've said. I think that was a pretty crappy response from him. Did you write the letter about things you wanted to discuss?
