If you make art for t..
With confidential rules, can you put your name on it or no?

Ugh! There's only 3 Pdocs in our insurance network and only one is close by. The other 2 are very far away...like an hour drive +. The Pdoc in our area isn't accepting any more new patients! I emailed them begging to see my H. I don't know what we're going to do if they turn us down.

And the T in our town still hasn't contacted us

In the case the one near you turns you away personally I'd call your insurance company, they should be required to pay someone. Or maybe they know of a pdoc who is less known that could still be helpful.

I don’t have kids but know people that have homeschooled their children in my area. They had to go on line and look up the proper codes for homeschooling children. For us there is a state website with guidelines and a curriculum you can follow. Also now there are all those online schools that you can use as well so kids can learn at their own pace but I still think they need to meet the requirements to pass all the grades and of course ultimately end up with a diploma. I don’t know if homeschooling affects college acceptance, but I don’t think it would as long as the kid being homeschooled does well and gets good grades and a good SAT score.

No but I was home-schooled for a short amount of time. Home-schooling takes much less time than normal school so I had a lot of free time on my hands. You'd have to spend more time with your child/children and wouldn't have as much free time as opposed to dropping them off at school all day. Just something to consider.

omg...no way i can catch up on 19 pages! Cliffnotes, stat!

Hey guys. I am really enjoying where i am at, and am already nervous to leave. The structure has proven to be really helpful for me, and the other people here are awesome. We break out into spontaneous song all day long, and watch the Great British Baking Show in the evenings as a fun relaxing thing.

I am not really sure I am "better," because this feels like a different world than my own, but I am most certainly learning a bajillion new skills.

I am supposed to be discharged on Friday, but they are letting me stay until Sunday because Sunday is the anniversary of the rally I was at last year, and it will be a tough day, and I don't want to be alone.

Cliffnotes!

Velcro,

I’m glad this proved to be a good experience for you and that you are getting a lot out of it. Keep up the good work. Seems like you made a connection with the people there and I hope you are able to maintain some of those connections after you leave.
Thanks for this!

thanks for your replies♥
i chose this option this year because we just moved to a new county and having researched his zoned school i got worried. so i asked around and was in a word told if i valued his safety dont send him there!
he is in 8th grade this year and doing gifted/advanced work so this curriculum seems to fit him plus my involvement isnt needed as much. he is attending the K12 online school which provides all books and supplies including a computer which does get returned and a printer which he gets to keep. hoping this turns out to be a good experience

At least, that's what I'm finding. I keep trying to fix my therapist for the same reasons. Thankfully, mine has continued to endure the struggle. More and more, I get tired of it and let go, and that's when I feel better. Maybe that's a way out for you too?
I appreciate this.

My question for you is this: Do you really think all of your anger is towards her, or is that a red herring? I ask that because for me, the therapist triggers me to become enraged, but my anger is not solely about her. Resolving an issue with her does not resolve my anger and leave me at peace. I am not saying you do not have cause to be angry with Madame T, just that there might be more to the story - and you should consider that if you meet with her and adjust your expectations. You might be surprised to find that you are just as angry as before, only you no longer have a target.
Isn't this a risk we all take in therapy? It is quite normal for anger to be continually redirected. We usually regard this as progress.

I think the confidentiality rules only apply to your T, not to you. Like your T would have to keep your name private, but you could do whatever. The thing is, if it's something you'd maybe want him to hang in his office, you may want to be careful with how you sign it on the off chance that you know another client.

My awkward/amusing therapy comment of the day today, in addressing how because of ex-MC’s excessive self-disclosure I had this false sense of him. Me to T: “I mean, you’ve shared a little but it’s not like I feel I have some real sense of who you are in the real world. Like, I’m sure you’re a good father, and I guess...maybe you’re a good husband?” He gave a big grin and I was like, “l mean, I’m sure you probably are, I just...I don't know!” He said, kinda laughing, “I probably know how to drive!” Me: “You likely know how to make toast!”

ETA: Hm, he never actually said that he's a good husband...
