I put myself out there with something and got rejected. I can't believe I was such a moron. This is all the therapist's fault. If I wasn't so mortified at the whole thing, I'd angry text her about it. This is why I tell C not to put herself out there. No wonder she's always depressed.

Oh! I forgot to tell you all. H was complaining about shortness of breath. When my doctor came, she asked how everyone was doing, and H decided to take the opportunity to tell her everything going on with him... Since he did that, I jumped in and said he's suffering from hypochondria. That got everyone to quiet down. So while I was actually having surgery, my H decides to go to their ER! #27

Don't think it was just the smoking...from what I read about her before, she was a total cokehead, to the point that she almost needed nose surgery. Though maybe that doesn't affect the voice?

I do miss cigarettes sometimes...not just for the voice!

But I think it was cigarettes that changed her voice.

I was brave and emailed T that I am having a hard time. I already have an appointment at the end of the week but it felt verrrrry far away. I have only ever emailed with one-sentence questions but I scared myself a little by how I was coping so I thought I needed some help.

Alternatively, maybe your husband is having a hard time with the fact you've been having fun and feeling good about yourself without him? Whether it was conscious or not, he knew exactly how to bring you back down.

There's an over used saying that putting out someone else's light doesn't make your own candle burn brighter. In your husband's case, I wonder if that's some of what's at play. Supportive people lift others up, they don't drag them down when they get too happy.
