Guys I just met my husband at the supermarket!

Our eyes met near the flower section (i splurged on pink roses and lilies) , then it was just too much of a coincidence that he popped up behind me in the dairy section! I don't know his name but I know it's meant to be.

My town's post office was actually robbed recently, so mail theft is a thing.

Well, they do currency exchange and all sorts of things, so they carry a lot of money. I'm sure they do get targeted for robbery. It's just... why me? The post office was full of people but I was singled out.

So was your bag bulgy? Maybe they thought you were gonna blow the place up. Youve been so happy lately - maybe you looked suspiciously serene.

If anyone is a Death Cab for Cutie fan, they had a new album come out today that I'm listening to it now (got free download for buying a ticket to their concert in a couple months). Really liking what I've heard of it so far (like halfway through), so I'd suggest checking it out.

So apparently we're supposed to track down the films ourselves for my English class. (And pay for them.)

This guy's clueless. The university has streaming video services for just this type of situation. They deal with the copyright stuff and setting up the streaming. Easier for all concerned.

ETA: and in looking them up on Amazon Prime, I discover that Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? was remade recently with cross-dressers in the Crawford and Davis roles. Which is really not such a stretch.

That's ridiculous that you have to find the films and pay for them yourself. I do editing for an online university, and all required video content is right there in the course--if it's something you have to buy, it would be optional (with the exception of a textbook).

My person used to require the viewing of a couple of films for her class in early 2017. But our university/copyright policy would not allow them to be put online and she had to schedule viewing times for them to go watch it if they did not want to buy/rent it. We spent quite a lot of time figuring out what was on netflix/amazon prime under the belief that a lot of students had those sorts of accounts and could watch with their friends who took the class with them.

That makes sense, but at least it seems she arranged ways for them to see them if needed. For @@ would be good if the Syllabus had, say, "Available on Amazon Prime and Netflix" for a movie. And really, the courses I edit for tend to link to stuff that's available on YouTube or other public sites, like TED talks, etc.

I think what’s annoying me is that my university has a system in place for streaming films via Blackboard and he’s not using it. Nor is he even suggesting where to find the films.

One’s on Netflix. Four more are on Amazon for $4/rent. One is in the public domain and my local library. One I can’t find at all. The university library has several in its video collection and all are checked out.

Generally I have found that if I want students to use or learn from outside resources like films, access needs to be made as easy as possible for them.

It depends on how important the movies are in the whole course. Would you have to write an essay on them or are they just something suggested for a student to do in their own time?

I'm not exactly sure what caused this change in me, but dang ever since I went back to therapy after my latest attempt at stopping in June, I have like no filter at all in there anymore. Except for one thing. I still haven't told her I sometimes wish she still sent the appt reminder texts... that's so funny to me considering other way more vulnerable-feeling stuff I've told her! Maybe it's cuz we have a time limit on it this time. 2 months left... although I highly doubt she'd say no if I said wanted to continue when we get closer to then...

I am officially home. I cried so much this morning, leaving the center. It is nice to be on my couch with my kitties. I am scared I am going to spiral down fast.

Perhaps as you've become more real with yourself, losing the mask means there's less parts to play. You can share what you really think and feel because you've become your own rock? Caterpillar -->Butterfly time. Metamorphosis in a sense.

Sorry if i'm being weird.

p.s Did you finish your painting?

Woooooooooo!

Welcome back Velcro.

Perhaps you could ask T for extra sessions to help provide you with more support during this transitional period?

Well it was bigish, but it was a plastic carrier bag clearly containing a sort of small plank of wood. If I was going to rob a post office I would probably pick something more inconspicuous and scary than that.
