Yeah, purchasing is yucky. It's not really in my job description...my job description is accounting and finance, but we can't really afford a full time purchasing manager right now so I've been filling in for...idk, over a year so I'm getting pretty proficient at it, I just hate it. I like being able to pick something up, finish it, file it, and move on to the next thing. Purchasing isn't like that. It's always waiting on quotes, and waiting on information, and because I don't understand the technical aspects of the jobs, I have to get information from others which is fine, but you know, they aren't always available. I'm waiting on two quotes right now, and the owner of the company has talked to me about them like three times today. He just stepped into my office to get a progress report--um, same since an hour ago. I think purchasing takes a whole special skill set that I just don't have, or something. I just don't like it. I need to ask for a raise. So yeah, double ugh. Thanks for commiserating! Kit.

I told my pastor's wife quite unexpectedly about the hallucinations last week. Now I'm a little freaked out. Ahhh. I overshared! Worried about being judged or something. Should have just been like, I'm fine when asked how I was. Guess I didn't want to lie in Church. Kit.

Today in therapy moments that would seem horribly random out of context (or perhaps even with context, come to think of it...), my T said that Hugh Grant probably has a hairy butt.

He is kinda furry, isnt he? Not as furry as the the other one tho, in bridget jones. My dad wasnt furry, i dont think i like hairy guys. They must be a hassle to clean up after. Like having a cat or dog. Altho my family used to complain about my long hair shedding all over the place in high school.

Yeah, I think the other one...Colin Firth? seemed more furry. Also not into super-furry guys. This was in context of how someone might seem ideal but likely has all kinds of flaws. Like he quoted some author saying if someone married Mike, they'd get these good things and these problems, then if she married Steve, she'd get a different set of good things and different problems. (He worded it better than that!)

My cat will use the doggy door all day long but then in the evening when I'm watching TV she will meow at the back door to be let in the house to be waited on like the princess she totally is.

Hercules had a legendarily hairy butt.

Couch mini-poll: would you date a man who carries a murse?

What is a murse?

Or is it a typo? I wouldn't date a guy who carries a nurse around with him.

A murse is a man-purse. Smaller than a messenger bag. Stylized. Often worn slung across the body like a purse.

He’s a visiting scholar only here for two weeks before he goes back to Kenya...so otherwise ideal.

Given the brevity of murse-man's stay, I wonder if 'date' is really the verb you're looking for?

I don't think I'd properly date a guy who carries a murse, but I would definitely, um, *date* a visiting scholar with an unfortunate murse habit.
Thanks for this!

Whispershadow has an aversion to certain numbers. But she likes five.

Could be a Kenyan thing. A Maasai sporran.

Friend: How is your relationship with your daughter?
Me: I sometimes know when she's in the house.

Sure, why not?

It’s not like it’s a man-bun or a chin beard.
