Yup I automatically thought of the kid from the movie UP trying to get badges. You could get ruder! Beavers eat fish?! I don't think we even have any in the UK.

Edit: apparently do we have some in devon.

I'm just teasin'. I pictured you living in Texas for some reason.

My uncle lives in Canada and I watched this random video that was very cute showing how politely black friday is done in Canada (no shoving or pushing).

When I come to Seattle, I can visit you too! But I also want to go to Bloomingdales and I want really good cheesecake.

My H lost his job He was project manager and didn't get along with one of his team members. Owner of the company promoted the guy to CTO and his first order of business, he fired my H...

I don't know what we're going to do. We really needed this job. We only have 35k in savings.

Guess this means IVF is put off.

I just can't win in life.

I think they did reintroduce wolves to Scotland??

I doubt they'd want to reintroduce bears - culpability should someone fall foul of them and all that.

How much support do you usually need/want?

Europeans have like NO concept of how huge North America is. You guys get on a train, and in a couple of hours maybe, youre in another country. Here, in a couple of hours, all youve done is taken a bus to a train station.

With the traffic in So Cal sometimes a couple of hours means you go from Pomona to Pasadena and you still aren't anywhere in Los Angeles.

Or crossed like an eighth of Texas. Or gotten stuck in rush hour traffic.

This is so true lol. I was really surprised when I took a plane from Orlando to NY and it took 2 hours. 2 hours and I'm in Paris!

ETA - Just checked and it's 90 minutes to Paris from here.

Yeah, I was thinking Seattle, Michigan, nowhere near each other. It is a big country. When we moved from the southeastern US to the Pacific Northwest, it was a pretty long journey. 4 days by car.

Okay, maybe I didn't realize how not-big the UK is. According to this wikipedia article it's about 874 miles.
