I responded to a scheduling email from my therapist this evening. Due to holidays and sickness we haven't met in person in over a week. I decided to be vulnerable and said "I hope it isn't weird to tell you this, but I've missed you." He responded that it wasn't weird at all and that he's missed me too. I'm so glad I get to see him tomorrow. Lots to talk about.

I feel so discouraged and tired.

It's my birthday, and I don't care. I've gotten lots of birthday wishes and my boys are planning a games and burgers night, and stayed up late last night to make me cheesecake. I've been on the verge of tears all day.

This is really not like me. I feel like the stuffing has just been knocked right out of me. I am tired of silver linings and bright sides and boot straps and the sunny side of the street. I think I just plumb wore out.

The woman once asked me if I had missed her after a 6-7 week break. I was stunned. It had not occurred to me that a therapist might think they would be missed or that I would miss one. I told her of course not and asked if she had missed me. She did not answer and I said well then, there we have it - we are on the same page on this one.

Happy Birthday, WFS! It sounds like you need a bit of a break. Can you take some time for yourself soon? Like a massage or pedicure or go to a movie or whatever would help replenish you.

I'm so mad. So backstory: when I was 18 my dad left my mom and my mom kicked me out because she couldn't get child support for me. So I wound up in a homeless shelter. Fast forward to today: my younger sister who has my 1 year old niece and 8 months pregnant, is homeless. Thankfully she found a program that got her housing for a year, but she was in a shelter. So my sister has been sleeping in the floor in her apartment. My mom has a inflatable mattress. She asked my mom if she could borrow it. My mom told her no because it would be hard to put it back in the box!?!? My mom already has a queen bed in her guest bedroom. She could have let my sister borrow it. I hate my family sometimes. Thankfully, my dad went to Walmart and bought her a mattress. Of course, he doesn't have the money for it, so we'll have to lend him the money until he gets paid. Ugh! Why can't life be simpler? Well, at least my sister isn't sleeping on the floor tonight. Poor thing.

Thanks, NP. Yes, as a matter of fact, I have a massage scheduled on Friday, followed by lunch with a friend. That kind of stuff really does help.

I realized shortly after posting that I think I am sad and kind of mad that my sister is still upset about Thanksgiving and hasn't bothered to text me. And I don't care so much about !BIRTHDAY!, because it's just meant to be a relaxing fun day where I get to choose dinner and eat cheesecake. But I do care that she's mad at me and it seems to really be about something else and I don't quite know how to fix it.

I love most any candy with peanut butter with the exception of peanut butter Snickers. There's something not right about that but I'm not sure what it is. They used to make this candy called PB Max. Those were soooo good. I ate way too many of those in college. The problem with M&Ms is it's way too easy to just keep eating them.

Hi everyone! I was put on a 24 hour hold from the forum yesterday because it thought I was a spamming to pad my numbers to get out of moderation. I want to catch up with you guys and will later today. After a nice long holiday weekend (haven’t worked since last week on Wednesday) it’s time to go back to work.
Catch you all later!
I missed the couch. When I was reading yesterday I saw some people missing. Where is Art?

I was done with internal class earlier today than normal, as we got fobbed off on another doctor. I still can't read ECGS properly but I met my old best friends in the changing room today.

I said the causal hey then carried on undressing. One of them came over to talk to me and hugged me.Then the other one came over to talk too.

It's kinda left me discombobulated and just with a bitter sweet taste in my mouth.

I know someone who’s looking to lose some muscle if you’d care to make a PB M&M donation...

Yes, PB Snickers are just...off.

I wish I could be like that. I pine after my therapist more than I ever did for ex H or SO during absences. I don't even understand why.
