PB Snickers...Do you think it's the peanut butter and the caramel together? They're different kinds of sticky--gooey sticky and dry sticky. That idea sends my texture bleah-meter through the roof.

I love peanut butter anything (well, almost, apparently), but I have a peanut-allergic kid, and I don't eat anything with peanuts unless I am away from home overnight. Once I forgot and kissed him on the cheek 4 hours after eating ice cream with peanut butter on my way home and he got a rash. Poor kid.

Have you tried green tea KitKats? I'm not much of a KitKat fan, but I do like that flavor. Our exchange students often bring them from Japan.

I also have a texture bleah-meter, though it's more about things like pudding and bread pudding (ugh...)

My D is allergic to cashews and pistachios, and we avoid having either in the home. I miss cashews though and some products containing them like Larabars. Not worth the risk though. It's good you're being careful with peanuts, as I know that can be a particularly sensitive allergy (like can even affect people when airborne). My D passed a "peanut challenge" involving eating a few Reese's Pieces in allergist's office (she came up weakly positive in allergy test), but I'm still nervous having anything peanut butter around her. If I eat something with peanut when she's not here, I wash hands and face really carefully.

Green tea KitKats sound good.

I've never really liked peanuts, but I'm not allergic to them.

Ugh. I do not feel better. I feel physically exhausted. I want to crawl into bed and stay there until June, except even my dreams aren't restful. I keep dreaming that I am traveling and staying in hotels, and I keep making wrong turns, standing in the wrong line or the bench I rest on turns into a bus to somewhere I don't want to go, and I will be driving somewhere and the car will start up a steep something (a wall, a hill, a rock face) and then it disappears and I have to climb up instead. Endless variations and combinations of those stories.

I have an endocrinologist appointment tomorrow, and I think I'm going to ask if we can up my thyroid meds a bit. This feels a lot like I felt when my thyroid was tanking, except for the dreams.

My son is allergic to cashews (which we found out after he ate some and had a reaction) and pistachios also.

Yep, that's how we found out about cashews, then went for allergy testing.

Add mine to the nut allergy list. I had just bought a container of pistachios the day he tested positive. I miss nuts so much

My endometrial biopsy must have come back positive for pre-cancer or something because it's been weeks and they haven't released the results in my online chart. We're trying to make an appointment but I'm still in Texas with my mom.

Mom is exhausted all the time but she's decided to go ahead with radiation therapy so I'm staying with her until that's over (3 weeks). It's probably not the choice I would have made but I'm supporting her decision.

My T offered to do a session over video which is very nice of her as I know she has serious reservations about it.

Thanks. I don’t think anyone is satisfied with the status quo. It’s just the only feasible way to maintain sanity. These brothers truly love each other, but the family dynamics are so warped that they are unable to be in relationship. It’s painful for all involved, but they don’t have a real concept of loving family relationship.

My husband, after being around my family all these years, knows differently. Unfortunately, the other four brothers basically married clones of their parents and simply passed on the dysfunction to their own families. My husband, maybe because he was the youngest, maybe because he received the brunt of the abuse, maybe because his sweet grandmother took him under her wing when he was still a bit younger, chose to deliberately live opposite of how he was raised. He stumbled upon me and subsequently my family who adore him and accept him completely, and his life and marriage and our children have turned out very different from his upbringing.

My husband is a truly kind man, and it pains him to grieve the family that never was. This news of his brother reopened that wound. He’ll be okay, but it’s difficult right now.

Could you call the doctor who ordered it to see if they have results? I'd think if there was something to be concerned about, they'd contact you sooner rather than later. But I'd call your doctor--they should hopefully be able to tell you something on the phone. If it helps, my mammogram results were released a week later than they said they would be (was supposed to be a week, took two instead), but they were completely normal.
Thanks for this!

Tough therapy session. It was weird to name a particular trauma from abusive brother as...

Actually I would think if there was something wrong they would have told you by now. I hope it's nothing. I would call like LT suggested.

Amelia's vet appointment went well. She got a vaccine and a cream to prevent worms. She has to go back in three weeks for a booster on the vaccine. But she was very well behaved at the vets and they all complemented her on her behavior, personality, and how pretty she is of course. It cost a lot because I signed her up for the wellness program, but I think it will be worth it to have her covered for all the vaccines and checkups and I can take her in anytime I want for a checkup and it won't cost me unless she needs something done. They did a stool sample too and were really impressed with all the vaccines she already had (she's a rescue) so they said that it was a good organization. Made me feel like a good kitty Mom. No ill effects from the vaccine. She was up and playing when we got home, just a lot of meowing in the car because she really doesn't like the crate, plus probably some nervousness of being out of her element. She's really getting along well with my dog, and my other cat and her are coming along. My other cat just wants to be the dominant one so sometimes Amelia gets hissed or growled at but my other cat is getting more comfortable with her and they even lay close to each other now and again. I'm just glad her vet appointment went so well. Kit.

I told R I might go and lie down after our session. That's still not possible, apparently, without getting sucked into a thought loop.

It's down pouring where I'm at in So-Cal. And strong winds. Previous owner of our house didn't put in proper drainage in the back yard so our patio is flooded.

The previous owner of my house didn’t install proper drainage either. So every time it rains in the good old state of NJ..my basement floods. Proper drainage (French drain) costs about 8 grand and we don’t have that.

My T’s warm, cheery quote of the day: “All relationships ultimately end. You die, they die, you drift apart.” Uh...thanks for that, T, I feel much better now...good session though, continuing from Monday’s about ex-MC and also about relationships in general.

You want a relationship that lasts forever, i think you have two choices: yourself, or religion.
