I have a crappy cold and was sent home from work today as to not infect the tots. I guess I’ll try again tomorrow.

Change of plans. I got here and it started raining. Cold rain! Not gonna leisurely wander the gardens in the rain. Heading back to my room because I have the beginnings of a poem starting in my head.... I was gonna write here in the gardens but I can do so in my very charming room as well and not freeze! lol

Oh I'm sorry. I thought they had stopped altogether and you could still sleep properly now.

Hugs, @@.

I know this strategy. It's SUPER effective. Yes, it is.
Here's a giant vat of coffee to get you through the day.

Hope you got a little undisturbed sleep.

I bought a pyrography kit and tried it out for the first time. I made this for my T. The picture is a bit like a cushion he has that he said he loves and he loves wood so I hope he will like it. It's like the first ever thing I have made this way so it's a little rough around the edges. Hopefully he won't mind.

What those people are doing at you:
"World-renowned trauma expert Janina Fisher has spent decades uncovering strategies to help even the most closed off and challenging attachment trauma clients.

One of the most effective methods, she explains, is the use of the social engagement system—the neural system that controls facial muscles, eye movement, and the tilting and turning of the head and neck.

"How we use our eyes, our facial muscles...those are secret weapons that help clients feel safe."

Secret Weapons? Feel Safe? good god.

The sun is coming out! It's still chilly but at least it quit raining. I'm sitting on the balcony with my notebook and pen. It's nice and cozy.

Maybe I'll go in and request info from another potential school.

Before I logged on, I was seeing an ad on this page that must have been meant for one of you Hallmark movie fans (DP, lemon?). Pair of socks, one says on the sole “if you can read this,” the other “leave me alone, I’m watching Hallmark movies.”

Bit freaky.

I was getting dressed for school this morning, and realized that I had pulled out a pair of socks that matched and thought "that's odd". I wear my odd socks with pride. Maybe you could buy two pairs then it would mean you were serious about being left alone. xD

But perhaps join us? I watched the Christmas Switch on youtube today. It was soooooo cheesy but so good! The typical mom doesn't make time for her family then realizes that her family are what's important.

A baby could literally teach you the same thing! I watched this documentary called help me love my child. It followed a mother who suffered with severe depression, who decided to see a T at the Anna Freud center. Her child was only 5 months old, but found her mother's face blank face distressing- so would turn her little head away from the mother when she spoke to her. It was just so strange to watch that even at that age that child tried to adapt to distress.

Your pyrography is beautiful, Echoes. That's one of my favourite art forms, and I would love to find a way to do more.

Thank you! I've never done it before and I love it. I was going to buy some log slices to paint with my kids and a pyrography kit popped up as a suggested purchase, so I thought why not give it a go!

Wow, what a twist! I wonder how long it took them to come up with that one?

I do watch formulaic stuff...I just prefer dark formulaic stuff.

First morning with on other human in the house for at least 2 weeks. My D usually spends most of the day in her room anyway, but at least she is here. I have to ring the insurance and get my ex bil car fixed. I hate phones and i hate talking to the person on the end of the phone as i feel they are out to get me. Even though i ahve never had a claim refused.
