'We'll pencil in a return date next week', apparently. Second week of January seems most likely, provided everything goes to plan. That will be in time for the Gritty Bit.

Every time I see the word “gritty,” I am reminded of the Philadelphia Flyers’ possibly ill-advised choice for a mascot.

The Flyers are getting Gritty - Broad Street Hockey

I had a similar conversation with a coworker and was asked "Are you really that codependent?" I was gobsmacked. I replied "Yes, I am, and you are not helping!"

But I must have gotten all the crying out of my system because on moving day I didn't even get misty. I had promised myself I wouldn't cry in front of the girls, and so far I haven't felt the urge.

Good luck Art! You have done an amazing job raising him, he's going to be fine. I hope you are too.

That thing looks like a deranged Muppet. Not sure what's going on over Christmas...might start a slightly larger scale art project to occupy my time in the between moments. Currently on the fence about a poetry contest, so that might crop up in session next week, but I'm not sure whether that's Avoidance 101.

I hate when I'm upset about something with my T and my H basically says I'm overreacting. Maybe it's true, but I want validation and understanding...

It's still pouring rain, which is so abnormal. I live in a desert! I don't want to have to go out in this when I'm off work in an hour. My phone has given me more alerts about flash flooding. And I switched to doing sit-ups in my office. If I had room, I'd bring a treadmill in here but my office is kind of small. Kit.

Maybe your sit-ups and push-ups are causing the flash flooding?

Hand weights?

Ha ha. Lol. No really, if I could cause rain by sit ups and push ups I'd live in a rain forest, not a desert. Hand weights are a good idea though. Kit

Aw, hugs sweet mommas...Stressed M too.

There is nothing codependent about being all gooshy when your little people turn into big people and get all grown and stuff. It's pretty awesome, and that mix of saying goodbye to one stage of your own life with them and seeing them all shining and brave saying hello to their futures, it's pretty emotional stuff.

It's ok to have all the feels.

So I'd like to thank my cats for the panic attack my daughter just had, and the small room we are currently holed up in with a strong lock on the door. I figure we have a bathroom and if we get really hungry we can climb out the window to the car.

Why did they bring a live RAT inside? And why didn't they finish the job? Why did my daughter stare into it's beady eyes and count it's whiskers? Just before it ran down the lamp and under the couch and she screamed like tigers were after her and commenced the panic attack.

Would anyone like a cat? Or a rat? I'll keep the traumatized small child.

Hey Everybody!!!! I will probably not be online much the next four days. I'm taking a three day trip to a neighboring state to visit some friends and then on Monday, I'm GOING TO DISNEYLAND!!!! (Okay, okay, I don't live that far from Disneyland, so it's not like I don't ever go, but I'm still excited because I love Disneyland!!!) I have a worker's comp audit on Tuesday which means *gasp* I might actually have work to do, but I'll be around then. I hope everybody has a good weekend and has fun. Hugs to anyone who wants one.
