Scared to reach out to Pdoc

I’ve had a horrible few weeks. My car broke down and then tonight, my cousin got angry and said horrible things to me. I’m in a VERY depressed place. This is a hard time of year for me. I’m having bad thoughts. I’ve been doing so much better lately that this is really throwing me for a loop at how depressed I feel. I have an appointment on Wednesday and my friend is supposed to drive me but I hope she doesn’t let me down.

Wednesday feels like a million miles away.

Wednesday will be here before you know it. Can you plan for a backup way to get there if your friend were to not come through? Sorry about your car. I've been there many a time and it sucks the big one.

Thanks! If my friend doesn’t show up, I don’t have a backup. This lady that my sister knows from church kind of got angry when I asked her.

I emailed the pdoc and asked him about possibly canceling my December appointments and coming back in January but he said that with my current level of distress, he didn’t recommend canceling any appointments.

My cousin said some horrible things to me last night and now I feel completely worthless.

Sounds like it would be a very wise move to keep you appointments when you are so low. Can you borrow a car? Maybe distract yourself in the meantime by doing a job around the house that needs to be done. Or even sitting down and writing down the emotions and issues that you are facing and then giving it to the doctor.

I’m definitely staying away from him. I don’t deserve to be treated like that.

I definitely need my appointments. However, it’s beginning to look like I won’t be able to go on Wednesday. The person who was supposed to take me isn’t even answering her phone calls.

I like what you said about writing down my emotions and issues that I’m dealing with for my doctor. That is a great idea.

If the person who was going to drive you does not come through, is taking public transportation an option? Or call an Uber, Lyft or a cab is those things are available in your area?

I don’t live in a public transportation area. And I calculated a trip with Uber and it would be $80.

I texted a lady my sister goes to church with to ask her if she knew of anyone who could take me to my doctor’s appointment. I told her that I’d pay them $40. Hopefully, someone comes through.

I’m so disappointed.

If you can't find a ride would it be possible to have the appointment over the phone? I know that's not as good as in person but it's all I can think of if you can't get there.

Also, I have an inner debate going on. I have to choose whether to make a payment to my doctor or make a payment on the puppy that is being held for me. I really want the puppy.

He said that he doesn’t do any therapy by phone. I’m disappointed that I can’t get there.

Could your sister take you? Hope you can sort something out. Keep writing if you can. It will be something to give the p'doc when you do eventually get to see him.

My sister doesn’t have a driver’s license.
