Couch 186: Pink Lemonade

I am glad next week is a normal week.
I can't keep the days straight right now. They are all jumbled up from the holidays.

Mostly sedentary
I wrangle words well.

I just looked up what days I teach this semester. We don't start for another week. I feel like an over-achieving go-getter.

Haiku? Not you too!
Our poetry is romance
Stopdog is jealous

Working overtime
Is turning my brain to mush
I need a day off

Do not ignore me
This silly talk about teaching
Can't hide your true love

Late night haiku fun
Keeps my brain from self destruct
Respite from The Loop

May God forgive me
What nonsense have I started?

For Christmas I bought myself a 6th gen iPad because they were on special and my old iPad which is nearly 9 years old was struggling. Well why didn’t buy another one sooner I ask myself, aside from the monetary issues, it is lighter than my old one the graphics are way better I no longer have to take my glasses off to play my game the only problem I have is the battery. The battery doesn’t last nearly as long as the old iPad originally. But I glad I splurged after looking at androids. Plus I am older and can’t be bothered working out new technologies

Oh no. Haikus. This reminds of the major poetry assignment I didn’t hand in when I was at high school, I had to repeat a year.

Instead of a Christmas letter which I would have nothing to say except see last years, I send a Christmas Poem in my Christmas cards. Some people probably appreciate it, some people probably don't read it, but I have fun writing it. Kit

I am appalled at the sloppy writing of the final episode of Luther. What a load of old Coachellacrap. Needed more Haikus.

Oh, come on, Oozy, as my students tell me it’s a passing 6/10 just for submitting an assignment these days. Even if they answered the wrong question or turned in a blank form.

It's the couch, couch, you lovely ole couch
Come spread your cheer, your fears, anything that goes ouch
We listen, poke, prod, and hug
So grab your pillow, your cushion, your mug
Stay a while and gab with us
For on the couch haiku's a must
We spread silliness and cool whip all around
So whenever you're down
Come spend some time on the couch, couch, lovely ole couch

I have got to stop checking my email every two minutes to see if my former T emailed me back. I emailed her to see if she would give me any insights into whether or not I should trust my new T, whether or not she saw any red flags (I did a session summary like I did here on PC), and how to manage wanting to open up but not wanting to attach because I didn't want to hurt like it hurts with former T. But seriously, every two minutes I'm checking my phone. There has got to be a better way. Sigh. Thud. Crash. Kit

I like sonnets too. But those take longer!! And I've really only written a handful of them that I consider okay.
