Today I made zucchini "noodles" for the first time in an attempt to be healthy. They were pretty good.

Both the zucchini and the chicken sound delicious. I guess I should heat up some leftover spaghetti.

The arthuritis is the one where you start pulling swords out of stones.

Never seen In Treatment. Just found it on amazon prime I'm checking it out now.

I like Laura's hair. Wonder if mine will ever get that long. It's taking forever to grow out.

Summer usually lifts my mood, but it doesn't seem to be working this year. I'm still on three Prozac a week.

I went to dinner at my former tenant's, guess I should just say friend's. They had salad and pizza so I had to eat some, I mean stuffed crust, come on. I anticipate a night of Extreme Gastrointestinal Discomfort and a flare of the back pain that always comes back when I eat too many carbs. The awesome thing about eating well is the reduction of inflammation, the weight loss is an incidental side effect, and the punishment for not eating well is incentive enough to keep me on track most of the time.

I picked up some paint stripper and have a little project to work on tomorrow, if it turns out well I'll show you guys, otherwise I'll have to make a new plan. Fingers crossed there is real wood under the paint and not laminated particle board.

Have a good night everyone!

Navajo rabbit, more students with “flexible attendance” accommodations.

I wonder if I can get one of those as a faculty member.

So tonight I went to a holiday party with H's friends (who I'm kinda friends with too). I ended up in the role of "person who hangs with the kids." I've never been in that role before--like yeah, I've followed behind my D and stuff like that. But tonight, it was like the kids wanted to hang with me, play board games with me. And it felt like I knew how to interact with them. Granted, they were all my D's age or younger. (The older ones were doing their own thing.) But still, there was an element of, "Oh, I'm really a parent now. And apparently someone that kids (besides my own) want to hang out with." Yay, I think?

They're like lions - they can sniff out the weak gazelle and separate her from the herd.

Seriously, were you new to them? You looked approachable and the other adults didnt? I remember loving it when an adult would break away to be with us. It wasnt OUR party, it was just boring!

Eta - also, back when i was still going to family functions and there were little kids, i was often this person. I painted everybodys nails!

You know what I find interesting about such a proposition?
The students hate that idea. Even when they are offered no grades - everyone just gets a pass - they (in my experience) want to be graded. They just want to be found A+s.
I find that fascinating.

Up with the chickens as usual and starting another weekend overtime day.

I had the weirdest dream last night. Totally bizarre. I need to drum later and do a dream re-entry and work with it some. I have questions for several of the dream-people!!

Gotta get back to work now though.

Hugs and headnods all around as wanted.
