I just want to scream today. Just ugh! H is driving me up the walls...hes being completely irrational and I can't say anything without him biting my head off. He canceled his session with his T tonight and started mocking therapy.

My dumb*** spoke to an admissions counselor yesterday about doing a Master's program. Like I could even handle that right now or like I need to since I don't have a career.

The chatty can be awful to a class. They have to be managed somehow—from polite requests that while I appreciate their insights, I’d like to hear others’ insights as well, to actually cutting them off if need be.

For those of you with kids in your life, what do you think would be the topics most interesting/useful for kids?

Basic dog care, basic dog training, basic/advanced dog tricks, dogs with jobs, careers with dogs, dog safety, dog walking, dogs VS wolves... or anything else you can think of?

DP - my kids would probably like dog tricks and dogs with jobs the best.

My optimal size class is 10-20. Although I had an excellent class one time of just 6 students - they all were into the subject and good with each other - it was really fun. But usually I don't like them under 10. I like them big enough for discussion but small enough to know all their names.

I am sitting outside my gym trying to will myself to go in.

Couch mini-poll: would you feel comfortable in a unisex locker room? They’re redoing the locker rooms one at a time, so right now everyone uses the men’s locker room. I came from work so need to use it to change.

I would be okay with it. But I am old and thus invisible for the most part.

I’d rather shout treacle-tart.

Hey, does one put cool whip on treacle tart? My etiquette education did not cover that.

re: teaching, I've only taught lab classes, so the smaller the better. The fewer students there are, the likely it is that one will blow themselves up when I'm not looking.
It also means I can take the time to give more thoughtful individualized feedback when grading.

No, but I'm also not comfortable in a same sex locker room. I always dress in a stall and hurry out fast. I hate my body.

Is angel delight also a petroleum based dessert topping?

I broke down and bought Orange Crush from the vending machine at work. I wanted soda but I didn't want caffeine (too anxious) so that left Orange Crush...Kit

Flapjacks (the UK kind) were one of my person's favorite things. She would bring back bags of them each time she went over to work in various libraries.

Well I’m still trying to figure out my low carb lifestyle.
Trigger warning for talk of calories and numbers.

Have you considered following some set diet plans for a few weeks? They have them in keto books (if keto is what you are doing) or low carb books etc. They often have various calorie intake plan suggestions (like 1200 versus 1500 versus 2000 and so on). That might give you a starting place to try rather than just winging it.

Excellent idea.
It would probably benefit me to order a book that has such information. I will probably do that now as I’m sitting in the hair salon with color on my hair.

In grad school I worked as a reference assistant in the undergrad library. One night I got a guy who wanted to know how many calories the traditional sex act burned.

Possible trigger:

Then he wanted to know how many calories other types of sex acts and positions burned...

And those were not the weirdest questions I ever got there.

I did go in. I did the trick where I told myself I would do half and then see how I felt, which always leads to doing more.
