I am watching a documentary about Golden Age film star Hedy Lamarr on Netflix. Turns out she wasn’t just a pretty face—she was an inventor and held numerous patents that helped pave the way for GPS and wireless technology.

And had a lovely sharp tongue. (“It’s not hard for a woman to be glamorous. All she has to do is stand still and look stupid.”)

Making tortilla pizza tonight!
Possible trigger:
Well, H gets it on a normal pizza dough, but my dad and I eat it on a carb balance tortilla. Everyone loves it because they get to get exactly what they want.

That doc is coming up this week for me on pbs i think. I saw a movie with her last week, she was wonderful. Really the only thing i knew about her was "Thats HedLEY Lamarr!" from either Blazing Saddles or Young Frankenstein!

i've been thinking about your posts on how you are 100% convinced your T doesn't ever think or care about you. you had a relationship for quite awhile, and one that is outside the norm, and more interaction than "normal" therapy. One doesn't just forget people they've had relationships with. I just highly doubt he stopped caring and turned you into a non-entity. like you said, he got paranoid about getting into trouble, so he turned very ethical on you. doesn't mean he doesn't still wonder how you are doing. unfortunately you have no way of knowing that, but just in my experience, people don't just turn off feelings like a switch, when it comes to relationships.

I'm usually intimidated by the couch (or just not around enough to comment), but I saw an image of a crochet chain on Tapatalk and had to scroll back to find the crochet reference!

If it's easy to pull out the yarn, i would frog back, but I'm a little too perfectionist about those things. It can be a little Wabi Sabi touch to the blanket. It's a nice easy to identify the piece as handmade Couch 186: Pink Lemonade

If I pull out the yarn, it will probably set me back 3-5 hours (not great at estimating time). I think I'll just put a fluffy border on it. And next time, I'll try to be more aware. It's only a small indent. My dad said he wouldn't have noticed if I didn't point it out. I'm thinking of doing my T's baby blanket in this pattern too...then I'll make it perfect!

I believe that getting to bask in my presence, have the joy of being around me, and seeing the constant charming smile on my face should be gifts enough for Info.

Her mileage might vary.

Coconut curry squash soup, honey buttermilk bread, and kale for dinner here. Yum. All the people need to hurry to the table so we can eat!

Thanks couch, now I'm watching In Treatment as well. On episode 12 right now.

Don't think I'll sleep much tonight. Disgusting confession: We have mice in our house, so I've been bleaching, scrubbing, sweeping, etc. Tried calling the landlord and he's blaming us and wants to backcharge us for the last 6 years we've lived here if he has to hire pest control. I feel absolutely disgusting and like people must assume we're dirty even though I know I keep the house clean.

I'm so so overwhelmed. I saw T tonight and see him on Friday morning. That seems like so long away but I know it's not.

I went to bed crying yesterday at 9.30pm which I never do before an exam but I was just so overwhelmed and tired. I didn't sleep well as I was up at 1.03am but I still passed with an A overall!!

Some of our exams are orals, where we get topics, space to answer and then we have to discuss them with the doc. We had two professors and I waited to go to the other one who was smiley when the first boy left. ( Like literally putting my hand up and walking down to him as soon as the other girl left.) As the other looked like he was just in a bad mood, so I didn't want to get stuck with him.

And he was lovely. One of my questions was on gastro examination methods. He made the the point of saying to always start with medical interviews and he stopped me half way when we were going through my answers together as he said he was satisfied and that I knew it already. (I know nothing, I'm just good at acting).

As I left there was the girl who stopped talking to me waiting in the corridor .I thought of ignoring her but just smiled, said hey and left.

And a guy from the year above I know and like asked if I wanted to go for coffee/a walk next week tuesday. xD

R lets me give him gifts on his birthday/Christmas. I think he knows he will get either chocolate, a children's book or a gift voucher. The area I live during term time makes this particular honey cake, which I always bring him for him whenever I see him in person- but next time I will bring him a carrot one from the corner store instead- as my sister opened his box which was smaller and I had to cut from the larger one. Then as it was without a box it got squashed in my bag and looked a mess. but he was gracious enough to still act happy to receive it.

I don't think he can legally charge you that. Do you have a copy of your contract available? One thing I learnt was to take photos of the place regularly just so that you have proof that you are cleaning and not destroying the place.

I live in a old Victorian house. It was common for them to get in from the cellar. We don't have an issue since we got Belle, but she sometimes also brings them from outside as a gift.
