I had to google what a oxford comma was :

a comma used after the penultimate item in a list of three or more items, before ‘and’ or ‘or’ (e.g. an Italian painter, sculptor, and architect ).
It is also a song by the band Vampire Weekend.

Anyone tried a young, fairly new T? Did it go well or not? The new guy I'm seeing tonight is quite young, I'd guess no more than 30 and the company says he's new for them and has no profile on the website. I'm just wondering if this is always a bad idea with inexperience or is it sometimes ok?

When I was in training, I sometimes found that the younger trainees had more insight and self-awareness than the older ones. If I were looking for a therapist now I'd probably be more open-minded on age than I was when I was looking for a T.

That said, experience would be important to me, because I know I can be a fairly challenging client sometimes and someone fresh out of training would probably struggle with me.

A younger t could be good because they are fresh out of school and know the latest stuff. My current t is probably in her mid to late 30s and is okay.

Just got in a fight with H right before he left. I said he'd seemed really cranky this morning, and he said "I am cranky." I asked if there was any particular thing, and that I wanted to know if it was about me. H: "I know what you're trying to find out." Me: "OK, so." H: "I'm stressed about things." Me: "What things? Like work, something else?" H: "I don't want to talk right now. I just want quiet." Me: "..."

Thanks for the feedback, I still will try him either way, he's so much closer than any other so far, literally 5 min drive and he has PM slots.... BUT now the stupid weather might still be bad through evening so I'm unsure if I'll be able to go. I hope I can because I really need to talk and Monday was a massive bust.

LT
I'm sorry about the fight, hopefully you can work it out after he's home.

Am I missing something? This doesn’t seem like a fight unless you were both screaming. It seems actually like good couple communication. You said he seemed x, there was a dialogue, he said he needed quiet, you gave it to him.

Yeah, that makes sense, I think it was just his being snippy all morning then not wanting to explain. I'm just staying quiet and not asking about it while he's at work, maybe not even tonight unless he continues being cranky. It's partly that he was snapping at D that really bothered me.

Found a lady T that's close that deals a lot with grief, I was gonna email her about possible openings in a few weeks but she charges 220 a session, so heck no. I nearly passed out when I saw that. Geez.

That might be a perk about the baby T too, I imagine he will be cheaper.

I have to be up in an hour, but I haven't slept yet I've been laying in bed for the past 7 hours... And today is a long day for me: dog groomer, Pdoc, and PCP.

H sent an email apologizing for this morning (and some other updates). He said getting D out the door is just super stressful for him, and apparently he'd gotten dish soap on himself while doing the dishes and had to change, which also explains why he seemed so cranky when I thanked him for doing the dishes...

Good luck with session today, unless it's already happened, then hopefully it went good and you got some needed answers

I am seeing L again this morning to wrap up the conversation we were in the middle of Tuesday. I had to ask my boss for a long lunch to make it work but he was good with that becuz of all the overtime. I'll share why later maybe depending how it goes but pocket riders welcome. Thanks, it's at 1:30, so in a little under 2 hours (an hour later than usual because I canceled and later rescheduled).

My area was just giving a winter weather warning through the evening, ugh, unlikely I can go tonight. This is so ridiculous. Just my luck too.

I hope by some tiny chance I can still get there, I really need it. F you winter! Go away.

My office is keeping the temp at 68F (20C)... would it be so wrong to complain? We are desk workers after all. It's not like we generate a lot of our own heat just sitting here.

My area is expecting a big storm to roll in this weekend from Canada. My city apparently doesn't deal with ice very well so I'm already preparing myself mentally to have to miss my session on Monday. I like snow, but not when it interferes with my therapy.
