My hysterectomy went okay last week and the pathology reports are back. No sign that the cancer had spread beyond the uterus so no need for chemo or radiation. So relieved!

Thanks. I feel relieved and worried about the future both but mostly relieved. It was not something I had planned. He asked me if something was bothering me and I just blurted it right out. Amid a lot of tears. He said that what is most important to him is that I am happy. That everyone deserves the love they need and if I am not getting it from him I should go find it. That he will handle it whatever. He also asked that if I want to split up that I not string him along. No pressure there. Huh. I have cried buckets today. I am going to email L tomorrow.

I love that they judge dog shows in evening gowns and dresses and tuxedos and suits AND that they call it a sport. It is extremely absurd.

I have a herding group dog - two of them.

She is more useful than my cats - they walk on the keyboard and erase comments making more work for me rather than keeping me from it.

I put my yoga studio membership on hold last summer when I decided to cut back on exercise. Still on the email list. It was owned by a couple. Now they are breaking up and there are competing narratives being emailed around.

According to the AKC site, that narrows it down to thirty. I'm picturing collies for some reason.

Dog shows are ridiculous. Many of the traits deemed desirable when judging such competitions seem arbitrary and absurd to me. For example, kennel club breed specifications for dachshunds state "the darker, the better" in reference to eye color. Light colored dachshunds, which are the most common in the US, can have amber, light brown, or even green eyes and it has no bearing on their health. Surely it would be best for future lines to do away with such meaningless valuations and to focus instead on things like health, temperament, and intelligence. Not eye color or shade. Jesus.

I think anyone who flat-irons their dog's hair and applies cosmetics to it has lost touch with reality and doesn't deserve a dog.

Just as I was finishing my first shot of whiskey h came down and shot a game of pool with me. He beat me only because like a dummy I scratched on the 8 ball!!!! I made a couple impressive cut shots. Other bar patrons cheered even haha
