I was always very happy when my person's colleagues from India would invite us over for dinner. It was so good.

Well, now I want Indian food (despite it being 9:30 in the morning--hey, I've been up since before 6, thanks to D). I'm also a fan of Aloo Gobi, sometimes call Aloo Gobi Masala, which is potatoes and cauliflowers. Dal Makhani can be quite good, too--bean/lentil stew.
Thanks for this!

Ugh... haven’t been on for a while because my son is on break and monopolizing my world. What little is left has been taken up by work because people keep quitting... so I come back and you are all talking Indian food! Now I want Chiken Saag and naan for breakfast...

No one said they did have a monopoly on curry. Check my quote.

The point was everyone thinks that dish is authentic Indian and it’s not.

I almost got the Palak Paneer! Next time. I'm quickly becoming a big fan of India food. The spices/flavors just make me feel so alive.

I am not a huge fan of the potato dishes because I am not a huge fan of potatoes in general. I do love the dals. And chicken tikka masala - regardless of who invented it. It is delicious.

If we're talking curry, then my favourite is Chicken Balti. If I eat chicken tikka masala out, it doesn't have the level of spice that I enjoy.

I get Tasty Bite meal kit and put it over a minute rice cup. You have to watch the heat meter on them tho - at least i do. I used to be able to eat really spicy indian food - now im a wimp, i dont know why. But these guys are very often my dinner.

I'm just starting to like Indian food again.

When I was really poor, I'd make curry stew to serve as all my meals for the whole week since its about the cheapest meal there is that isn't unhealthy. I got really sick of it in time. I seemed to migrate to Thai curries after that...

Spicy food is always good and there'slots of of variety. I think I'll cook make ahead Mexican bowls next.

I’ve never had Indian food. It’s just something I’ve never thought about trying. You all are making me hungry.. If I did what to try it what would be a good basic dish to start with? I like mildly spicy, but not too spicy. Just enough to give food a gentle kick.

I do love Italian and Mexican food. Well, American versions of those foods-anyway.

The take-away seems to be that sometimes, dry food is ok and that carb counts in dry and wet foods vary widely. And that they still don't know for sure what a best ratio of carb to proteins and fats is best for diabetic cats.

What dry food do you currently feed her,SK?
I currently feed her Purina DM diabetes management which I get from my vets office. It’s prescription food.
